A lot of people are still going to build it by late game either way since... you know. ADCs, Supports, Tanks, various built-in healing abilities along with the massive lifesteal from lategame ADCs. But what do I know.

Keepe1 votesIf people cared about large amounts of AP and Pen, they'd go a more practical route and buy a Void Staff with a Rabby. The GW is the only thing it has left going for it, since it's had most of it's effects removed.
Bjørnetjenesten1 votesNot really, its doesnt really fit any kit or have the stats that are needed. Its pretty weak on most mages. Taking it means you sacrifice another important item. Most likely we are going to see less of the new Morello now. Its a niche item with a VERY clear purpose.

Or you know, just never remove mana regen from AP mage items in the first place...
