safe picks for top?

A lot of people listing a bunch of random ass champions. The safest top laners are and .

im not the biggest fan of playing adcs top, but quinn is really nice. her passive helps her out a lot with damaging even ppl that rush armor early.

her e can sometimes "bug out" but other than that its really nice. the good thing is that after lv 6 she is fast. you can just push a wave in and (recall) fly mid/bot.

There aren't many safe picks top, its probably the most counterpick heavy lane in the game. But champs like (phaserush) are probably the safest picks. Even then your ornn could get vayned etc or if vayne/quinn your probably more likely get camped.

I would say aatrox but fiora, irelia (if she has any lead or is level 6 your dead) cassiomoopeia and many other mages dick him in toplane.

Lucian is another option, doesn't look like they'll be balancing him for top anytime soon.

You kind of have that coming for picking first. Thing about him early game, and I'm saying this as a person who's slowly morphing into a main is that many of you use his W at the beginning of a fight, rather than after building up enough Grit. You also don't play around the fact that Darius' E at Rank 1 is a 24 second cool down. Literally don't engage on him with your abilities if you know he has E up. It's the same length cool down as Fiora W early game. Play around that window.

As for your question; , are the safest melee top lanes. are both safe top laners because they have mobility and ways for you to get off of them in a situation that they have to leave. Be careful though, since top lane is the most counterpick heavy lane in the game.
