144 characters, we only get 5 bans. its time to up the bans we get.

Just doubling the ban amount seems lazy, and it creates a potential situation where a whopping 20 champions gets banned (unlikely, but it could happen). This forces players to need to have many more characters unlocked before queuing up for Ranked or Draft.

I would much rather they just stagger the bans instead. I sometimes see some overlap with people banning champions because there's always those champions that plenty of people hate to play against (or with). *coughYasuocough*

I know they have everyone ban at the same time to cut down on lobby time but they could weave some of the team's bans in while their own team is picking if necessary, it doesn't have to be exactly like tournament draft. This way, you can pick a different champion to ban if the opponent already bans it early.

Are there even 20 adc?

That seems way to excessive. This would force players to have a larger champ pool than needed to climb because all 20 of their champs can be banned. Not to mention a team can ban 10 out of 17 adc’s. That’s not saying the enemy doesn’t bad a couple of them too.

there needs to be actual reasoning behind the bans

5 bans in competitive added depth to the ban/pick phase 5 bans in regular play gave every player on a team the ability to ban 1 champion they dislike playing against

7 bans? who gets the extra 2 bans? in competitive? what is the purpose of that? you can just straight go the last 7 played champions on someone and delete them from the game 5 champion bans is already being taken advantage of in competitive and thats why people are prioritizing picking for the player that is being targetted just for that reason alone

10 bans? oh welcome to the 10 minute long pre-game and when someone dodges at 1s you will delete the game oh and lets not talk about the increased barrier to entry for draft and ranked
