Honestly, Wits End is a pretty good item to use in tandem with Nashors, as it shreds their MR, making your Nashors as well as its self, do more damage, and the AS also works well with Nashors. Though honestly id only build Wits if you have built in on hit magic damage or are building SD, because Nashors + Wits + SD = Crazy.

Tooth, does 15 + 15%. on hit. compared to Wit's end's 40 on hit, you would need around 166 AP to get that. Though you do get about half of that from the item itself. It would seem like Wit's would still be slightly better if you weren't already building lots of AP.

But really, they nerfed that item, (along with BotRK) 1) because of Devourer, and 2) because of Kog. On hit builds are being balanced around the abuse cases.
