Ok.. Im gonna "try" to share some input about all the Yasuo hype recently. (coming from a yas main)

Ok, well where do I begin? Yasuo is has recently been accused as overpowered, Due to his mobility, being resourceless, Windwalls, etc...

A little bit about me, you can skip this part of you want. I found Yasuo on free week once. Found his whole design to be really great actually, he was one of the first true champions I ever really loved due to everything, From the design to the kit, Ill admit. I didnt not know how the hell to play this champion, I watched a few videos to learn how, Tried dashing everywhere and doing damage... but anyway anyway.. the more I played Yasuo the more I learned about his matchups, what he can do.

And I came to the conclusion in my head that Yasuo was made to counter ap mids, basically. Thats his job pretty much. Juke out their spells, maybe block a few with windwall. use their cooldowns as an opportunity to attack back, thats the thrill of Yasuo, you could almost call him a counter pick to most ap mids.. And as much as I hate hit and click champions, Yasuo isn't one of them, and you sure won't learn him overnight.

SO, anyway, how do you beat Yasuo...

well you pick a bruiser, even someone tanky against him, Why? because Yasuo cannot deal with these champs.. hell even riven would beat his ass. No, really.. Why? Because (and read my lips) Yasuo. has. to. get. CLOSE. to. you. And no Yasuo would ever get close to a Pantheon, Darius, Garen, Etc. this is also why Riven has a hard time against these matchups.. Ive beaten a Yasuo with my good old boy Shen no problem.

So i mean yeah, and also a few more things, Yasuo isn't really reliable.. err.. half the time, and coming from a yasuo main I will tell you this.. allot.. and I mean allot of Yasuo mains are cocky as hell..

No really, they see faker dash around on youtube and get the 5 man ult with that damn dubstep music and and they try to do the same, I spectate pro games sometimes and I still see them do bad, He's just not that reliable half the time..

Now on to the final point, People say if he has a malphite or wukong on the team he's still op. now this coming from a yasuo main, It pains me to say I can agree on it, The only nerf I could ever give Yasuo is the ability to only ult off his own tornados.

That is all, not looking to really make a point, Im just giving input, maybe have a discussion.. I dunno :p Hopefully I wrote a decent enough thread for you all XD

I just want Yasuo to be nerfed already honestly..... people will find things to complain about him.

Just like any other champion, Yasuo comes into style in the mid lane, usually you see him dueling against Katarinas and Zeds and the occasional LeBlanc, but given that he has a lot of defenses, his biggest being his passive windwall, he's actually countered by quite a few mid laners and his strength really comes from doing cleanup in fights or initial burst damage. I don't think he's really strong for what he does and is in a decent enough position. if you're unlucky enough to not be able to dodge his tornado or some knockup, he should get to do a ton of damage off you.

A counter to AP mid laners, he is not as most know to work around his windwall, but he does very good at staying in lane and mostly forcing mana heavy mages out to recharge while he farms up. Just my thoughts from fighting against quite a number of Yasuos, mostly winning as Ahri and Morgana, but tied when I was Nidalee.

One time. Against a crappy yas. I've been the yas in that matchup and it's SO easy to win. It was kind of sad actually, I felt bad for the guy,

whether he's good or not, against a shen he isn't going to murder you and zone you at level 2.

it was so cringey reading this post with you mentioning you were a yasuo main every other sentence.

Not really, I said he would be an awful design to play against as soon as they revealed him. Balance entirely aside, he's just plain frustrating like no other champion.

I think the real issue is that nearly all hyper carries in this game have way too good early games. Yasuo Tristana Vayne Jinx Nasus Irelia Vladimir

Every single one of those champions is a late game hyper carry, and every single one of those champions either has a powerful early game (Yasuo Jinx Irelia ) or an incredibly safe early game (Tristana Vayne Nasus Vladimir )

None are gated by high mana costs, three of them have built in sustain, two of them are designed for self peeling, and the final two have stupidly high early game damage for champions that are supposed to have weak early games. I'll let you figure out which is which.

What exactly are the drawbacks to late game champions nowadays?

I can't talk about overall game balance, but as a Xerath player I hate his guts.

Can't hit him because he dashes about so often, even if he isn't trying to dodge you landing a spell against him is frustrating as hell. Even if you do hit him his passive takes all the burst so you really didn't do anything. Can't push lane because of his spammable aoe poke, which would be fine if I had the ap or mana to wipe waves but being back at tower from level 2 isn't really conducive to that.

When he hits 6 not only is he still hard to hit but now I have to watch out because a single skill shot he lands could be my death because there is no possible way I am escaping from him. Also as a skill shot user he can dash through my face to auto dodge a spell.

And he windwalls my stun at some point, that probably happens but its not really that big a deal compared to everything else.

So, I am probably biased, but I hate Yasuo with a burning passion.

He has to much, but riot loves him and riot is God... at least they pretend to be.
