I was so used to buy Morello as first item I don't really remember if it had mana regen. I think it was replaced with pure mana some time ago, but if that's true new AP items give me more mana than old Morello, right? If now I buy Luden first I shouldn't have any problems, yet I run oom as mid lane mage sometimes.
InTheory2 votesOld Morello had 20% maximum mana restoration on champion takedowns (including assists) which has been removed. If you feel like you run out of mana in early maybe you should not upgrade your lost chaper too fast, because it has a 20% maximum mana restoration on level up which is lost on upgrading the item. Either try to delay your upgrade (e.g. by throwing in parts for your next item after Luden's) or rush a second Lost Chapter afterwards.
