Countering Shyvana top

Today i had a game as Vlad against Shyvana top. She was absolutely tanky from level 1. She could build sunfire cape and still resisted damage like she had a magic resist item. Also She had really good damage against me although she didn't build damage items. She could run away from 2 of us while i was constantly slowing her with rylai's. I just cant really understand how this can happen. She was also faster with no boots then i was with basic boots and 3rd q boost. Any tips? I kinda had it easier once i bought a liandry's though.

Shyv is just fast and tanky. She is built to quickly clear the jg so early in lane she is quite strong. Remember she is melee and has no built in sustain so poke her with aa as much as possible w/o missing cs.

Honestly will just be a farm lane, which isn't terrible for vlad. Just sit back and cs.

Her passive gives her Damage and MR naturally that scales as she levels. If the masteries are picked to where she adds the armor and MR from there and regen, you're going to have a problem. Her W gives her peel. It speeds her up.
