PSA: AFKers hurt your team even more in preseason

"If your team's average level is higher than the enemy's, your minions deal 10% bonus damage to enemy minions. If you've taken cumulatively more turrets than the enemy team, damage is further increased by 10% for each turret you have over your opponents."

Not only does an afker already put more champion pressure on every lane, but now they will be giving their opponents additional pressure from the minions by automatically dropping you team's average level. After that there is the fact that the enemy team will take at least one turret far earlier as well.

Now it is literally impossible to win a 4v5 instead of just very unlikely as the game itself is working against you.

The idea is that you'll lose the 4v5 much quicker, wasting less of your time. I'm all for this. I have no desire whatsoever to. I'd rather be able to just surrender as soon as someone goes afk and doesn't look like they're coming back, but this at least helps.

Riot's policy of not promoting snowballing only applies to real games. 4v5s don't qualify.

so then make -10 minutes to surrender time per AFK on your team. No need to go through with this stupid convoluted bullshit that lowers the quality of games.

The other team still won't be able to end before 20 minutes so the game isn't going to end quicker.

Most of my 4v5 games already end before 20 minutes. I'd estimate around 60% or so. It's not hard to take the advantage and just start shoving towers down. It would be pretty easy for this to take a few minutes off the average 4v5 time.
