I got to tell you this is the most annoying and tilting thing to get a quadra and the penta be just out of your reach. Fight him like a man! Sure if it becomes an obvious 1v5 or something and there's no way you can win, then okay. But if its a 1v1, at least try for the love of all things good and righteous, or at least don't run into nexus to deny the penta and just wait for it to end like a total pussssyyy caaaattttNidalee. Wait that still sounds bad...

SERIOUSLY THOUGH. Stawp it. Everyone hates that feeling of not getting a penta because the last guy was being a total arse and won't even show his face or will play super safe so there's no way of you ever getting it. If its a ranked game and you legitimately think you can hold them off, as like, Viktor or Azir with your waveclear, or Amumu with your ult under the nexus towers or whatever, then okay sure playing safe 'till that point is okay. But when its a norms game, and you just play like a total Nidalee it just makes you look like a jerk.

EDIT: People seem to think I'm asking for free pentas. I am not. If you would please refer to paragraph 2(line 5-7). I simply don't want you to run from something you wouldn't naturally. As I explained in another post here, if you're for example, a Janna running from an Olaf, then that makes sense you wouldn't go in. That's stupid and suicide and not earning the penta. But if you're Tryndamere at 50%+ health(or maybe even less) against Wukong and say, the rest of his team died already and he wasn't inherently fed beforehand, and the quadra hasn't been cashed in yet to make him that fed, then why are you backing off? You can probably win and if it weren't for him just then getting a quadra, you wouldn't back off. If he wins then guess what, he just earned that penta!

I'm not just speaking from wanting a penta or an ally wanting a penta or even a friend, I'm also speaking from watching my allies sit in base and not even try to hold the enemy off from ending because of it. Why are you sitting in base when you have your ultimate and they're trying to end, Amumu?! We're 10 seconds from spawning and you aren't giving a single crap!

It doesn't make you look like a jerk, it makes you look normal. Pentakills are earned, NOT GIVEN. Remember that. You didn't deserve the penta if they have given it to you.

They don't have to be given, but at least don't sit in the fountain. I've legitimately seen people sit in the fountain and laugh after an ally got a quadra while the game was ending- didn't even try to get a kill or defend until his allies got there. He just sat in the fountain. Spamming laugh and his Rank 5.

Is it really THAT big of a deal that you have to hide in the fountain for no reason at all? Is it really? Is it only in Silver that people care about pentas at all, even just for laughs?

What does my rank possibly have to do with this? Really? What does it? You are Gold 3. 8 tiers above me. One division. You aren't that special man, you aren't. Stop acting like it. I imagine if you ever make it to Platinum you're the kind of guy that will scream "I DESERVE CHALLENGER BUT THESE NOOBS ARE SO BAD!!!" and will show off his rank in any conversation.

Its like saying "Well at least I have a girl friend!" aggressively in a casual conversation about physics. It makes no sense and is only there to provoke the other person. You're the kind of jerk that sits in the fountain and spams his Rank 5 like a Nidalee.

I brought the ranks up because yea, LOWER elo players care MORE about pentas. Am I not right? AM I?? I don't think a PLAT/DIAMOND player could care more about pentas than a SILVER/BRONZE. RIGHT?

I mean over 70% of the community is made up of Bronze-Silver so it only makes sense. I personally don't care all that much but it still gives a good laugh and a good time whether an enemy or ally got it(at least for me, Idk about salty players), but even high-elos get that. I mean do you see how much Nightblue3 talks about pentas? Its not like when I get a penta or see someone get a penta, I talk about it for the next year. I mean the first time I did I was crazy about it but after that point I basically turn on /all chat, type "PENTTAAAAAA" laugh, turn it off and forget about it.

if you can't kill 5 people, you didn't earn a pentakill.

Why would you even want someone to give you a penta for free? How is it even exciting if you were given it? You wouldn't be excited about getting an amazing exam grade if you only got it because you cheated.

Fighting the guy cause he just got a quadra is not only retarded, but in most situations assures your death, hurts your team, and is bannable because you SHOULD run away usually.

Getting your team likely aved is idiocy at the highest level.

I find it baffling that you couldn't come to this logical conclusion on your own.

Firstly, I said if its Ranked, then sure, okay. That's fine. Do your best to win and not throw, whatever. If its norms though, I don't see why you're being such a Nidalee. It just adds for a good laugh before you inevitably lose. I mean, assuming they just got a quadra kill, they're going to hard push mid to end. If they don't, then they suck enough it doesn't matter, or its super early in the game and well... it doesn't matter.

Normals or not, the point if the game is try to beat your enemy. Literally that's the whole goal. But I'm an awful person because I'm playing the game the way its intended?

You're asking someone to play the game in a way they would never usually play (allowing someone who will kill you into a position where they can do) so that you can get a penta. If someone allows you to fight them when they never otherwise would then you didn't earn the penta. And why on Earth would you get excited about an achievement you didn't deserve?

Anyone who asks for someone to give them a penta or just not deny them a penta in a situation where they otherwise wouldn't get it is asking for someone to allow them to pretend they've achieved something good when they haven't. It betrays a lack of real achievement in your life and probably self-esteem issues too. I am happy to get a penta if and only if 5 enemy champions die to me when doing their utmost not to let that happen. If I got a quadra and someone who would run away if they were smart ran up to me to fight me (despite me clearly being the stronger champion - I just got a quad for a reason) then I would still treat it as a quadra. The penta wasn't real.

If there's any realistic chance of defending the nexus then you should obviously try to stop the end but depending on how many of the enemy team are up it can be a pointless endeavour and given the mastery system/ranked stats you're probably better off preserving your KDA.

If there's an important reason to fight the person who just got a Quadra then sure fight them but nexus defense is only a valid reason to die if there's any chance whatsoever at saving it. Sometimes it's not.

A penta is something you have to work for, not something I'm just going to give you. Simply going 'Hi, nice quadra, here's a pentakill for you!' spoils the nature of the pentakill. It ruins it. It's like watering down a glass of fine wine. A penta just isn't a penta if the last guy just feeds himself to you and I respect that.

You should respect the pentakill too and stop telling people to water it down just because you want to see more of them.

I would just like to point out this:

As in, don't run from something you normally wouldn't just because you don't want him to get the penta. Its not like him getting a quadra suddenly made him stronger before he even recalled. The most it did is give him some EXP(which isn't much on kills) to make it to the next level, which may or may not be higher than you. Heck, it could have been a flipping Janna support who just AA'd everyone and, assuming she isn't being protected by 4 other people, is an easy kill but you aren't risking it because you don't want her to get that penta and would rather the game end.

Yeah, I get earning the penta. But denying the penta because its a penta? Why? its stupid and if he hadn't gotten those first 4 kills right then and instead it was spread out over the game time, and lets just assume for the sake of example he never actually recalled after the four kills(looking at you nightblue), then what would make you so hesitant to go on him? Was he fed before? Okay, that is the example of a 5v1 and the fact you can't possibly 1v1 him and win. Are you Janna and the Olaf wants to kill you for the penta? Okay whatever, easy win for Olaf and its stupid of you to go in.
