Why Do We Still Have Only Six Bans?

I'm sorry Riot, but there's no excuse for not giving each player on each team a single ban. This way, everyone has a chance to get rid of something they don't want to deal with and then maybe, especially as a top lane main, I'll get to see more than four champions being played.

Because limiting the amount of bans a team has is supposed to encourage them to put more thought into which champion they remove from the match. We also live in an age where the meta includes a whole class of champions, and ban habits tend to revolve around those classes, therefore we could wind up in a situation where far too many mages could get banned in a single match, marksman, tank, etc which might end up forcing someone to play a champion they are not particularly good at.

Well with 10 bans you could effectively ban out the entire meta. You could ban the 2 best champs for every role, so basically 10 champs would be permabanned then the game would be entirely played with 2nd tier champs.
