Remember when Aatrox was the living personification of war? Remember when he inspired and commanded armies with a sickeningly tranquil voice, indicative of a calm leader and warrior of eons past (an experienced mold of destruction, made by the kiln of conquest)? I know new Aatrox doesn't since he's too busy spewing childish banter. Wasn't there a memo about keeping character identities intact from one iteration to the next?
Rember when aatrox had no personality ? Rember when the only info we had about him was that he liked war? Vague does not equals good. Aatrox now has a reason to bring runeterra to oblivion thus he has room to change..he is no longer the force of war , a faceless entity with no relatability whatsoever.He is the god slayer a being that used to protect runeterra from the void , but he was betrayed.(and potentialy corrupted see velkoz voice lines..)
Also the fact that he is taunting his enemys , sometimes by making jokes ( something that his old vocie couldnt possibly express) adds to his personality.Aatrox enjoys a good battle , he can be cocky , serious , angry or ironic like most sentient beings. The old one was just too dark and edgy to do that ..borderline cartoonish if you ask me.
They're both trash. Old one sounded way too bored, new one sounds too edgy.
