The Promote Active isn't Enough to Call it "Banner of Command"

A banner is always flying, a symbol of hope and morale. It is the epitome of "aura". And issuing commands to a single minion instead of an army is significantly less interesting.

If this is the direction we're going with Banner of Command ((I honestly don't think leaving the Legion aura just for minions would be too powerful but whatever)) then the item should be renamed.

True to fluff or not, Riot had problems with the Aura in general, and over all, putting both that aura and the promotion active, pushed the item a little too far from a support's budget.

But if you really want to promote the Aura idea on the Banner of Command (all puns intended), I would suggest putting the Aura on the promoted Minion. Make the minion itself, the standard bearer. It would offer a lot more counterplay on the aura itself, simply because it's on a tougher, but still easy to kill minion. It would also serve to broaden the uses of Banner, and give the player more options. (do I promote a minion in the lane I'm in to bolster my team in the up coming siege? or do I promote a side lane minion for an AFK split push?)

It's definitely an interesting idea to put the aura on the minion.

But really the simpler option is to just rename the item. It's so fundamentally different from what it was before that it doesn't need to keep the old name.

several supports dont need banner, since 0 towers doesnt change their defenses. a free tower or a stronger support is the make or break of it. its difficult to decide if braum needs frozen heart or banner, but with the shield taking out most bot lanes i reccmond have armor instead of banner. banner and towers is a habit you have to pick up kills nonstop, if toplane and mid lane deny that that tower, you just look autistic with no words for that item.
