Surrender, and Early Surrender: Needs Improvement

League has pressed for "a shorter game." So. . . :

"Surrender" at 15.

"Early Surrender" at 10.

[slayer-jinx-wink]

I'm glad for the one person, who wants to keep struggling. I agree with their top laner: our team is good enough to "come back."

. . . .however, my team's top laner fed 1-5, then disconnected from the game at minute 12. The enemy team took herald, and has destroyed an inhibitor. I agree with their top laner: my team can stall out the game against their team, but this dc isn't coming back.

[zombie-nunu-tears]

I want to surrender, and go into queue for a new match. 3 players on my team agree.

[sg-syndra]

"Must be unanimous."

Three, of the four players, said: "we don't want to continue this game: let's start a new match." A player went 1-5, and dc'd.

"Must be unanimous."

Two more players, disconnected.

Sometimes, it's good training to struggle in a difficult game; lose, and train. I didn't want to. Three, of the four players, agree.

You know, DOTA 2, lets you control a DC'd player. We probably could have won, with that technology. Their top laner was correct: our team of four, was more skilled than their team of five. But, we don't have that technology here: we can only use the strength of four here, and not "the forbidden strength of five."

One of the players to disconnect, was me. I was the third, to disconnect. The fourth went to fountain and danced. The fifth kept fighting: he voted to keep fighting, and he kept fighting for every pixel. Good for you. The rest of the team, wanted to stop fighting.

[sg-zephyr]

Let us report the one player who DC'd and did not return, and then start a new game. Three of the four agree: we don't want to continue this game, with our inhibitor down.

That game wasn't going to go to twenty minutes; one of the four players was always going to vote no, no matter what, eternally.

[sg-soraka]

I think, we should have the option of early surrender at 10 minutes, requiring a vote of 4/5. Or a unanimous vote, if there is less than 5 players.

Minute 15 is when "standard surrender" starts.

[sg-soraka]

League has been pressing for "a shorter game." We need actually lower surrender timers, where the rules actually allow us to surrender early.

[sg-shisa]

I'm glad for that one person who wants to keep fighting, I honestly support their desire to fight no matter what: but two people have DC'd, and our inhibitor is down.

We want to surrender.

We need to have rules that will allow us to surrender.

[slayer-pantheon-rainbows]

Sometimes a player goes 1-11; even 1-11 before 12 minutes, and their one kill was a KS they did not take with honour, or deserve. I'm glad the troll player can continue diving the full health enemy team while their at 20% health [I'm not making this up!!!], and then be the one vote to prevent a surrender and force us to keep playing the game. The current surrender rules are great for trolls!

[zombie-brand-clap]

Is this the game we all want to play???! I think there's a very realistic fix.

[slayer-jinx-catface]

Early surrender at 10 minutes

[slayer-pantheon-thumbs]

Normal surrender at 15 minutes

Or give us the ability to control champions who's summoners have disconnected.

[slayer-pantheon-rainbows]

Let me report the person who did dc. . .don't punish 75% of the remaining team.

no. absolutely not. what is the point of even playing the game to begin with if you just gonna wave the white flag? if you want to play the game then play the fucking game. don't start a game then go "wait i change my mind, i don't want to play. lets ff" you wanted to play the game, you knew you had to put in the commitment and the time to play so then fucking play. if you ain't gonna commit or if you ain't got the time then don't play. i do not give a flying fuck if a person dc'd and rift herald is knocking on the door of your base. if you only play to have fun and not care about winning then losing a game over a dc'd and wanting to ff will mean nothing to you. but seeing as you want the option to ff much earlier than we should you only do ranked and therefore only care about winning. so no. the option to ff will remain at 15 min 5/5 and 20 min for 4/5. btw,

I think, we should have the option of early surrender at 10 minutes, requiring a vote of 4/5. Or a unanimous vote, if there is less than 5 players.

early surrender requires all 5 people to say yes. if there are less than 5 then all of the current players have to say yes.
