People say getting out of Bronze isn't hard. But....

How in the ****ing hell, am I supposed to do anything when my teammates refused to coordinate. I can not describe how angry I am right now. I want to actually level up and get better at the game. But it is completely impossible to get anything done until and unless you can actually carry.

My most recent game, IN RANKED, I was Sona and got a TF Bot. I didn't trust him straightaway and asked him to change. His reply was that he does not care what I though or said. Fair enough. Game began and I muted him straight away. We started the game strong with a Quinn top, Fizz mid and Rengar jg. We were 4v1 in the first 3-4 min. Everything was going well. When Rengar and Fizz were making stupid mistakes like going in w/o warding or face checking bushes or not having map awareness. These are forgivable to some extent. But when the mistakes start piling up it is just out of our hands. But the biggest culprit was that POS Twisted Fate. I have a huge urge to name him but I won't. What he basically did was blame me the entire match, for letting him 3v1 a WW, Luc and Supp EZ. What actually happened was that I was low on health and had to buy items and WW had already ganked our lane. He still overextended and got caught. He held this grudge against us and refused to co-operate. He would farm while we are team fighting and soon as it is 5v5 he would run away saying that we wouldn't help making it 4v5. He was a good player, no doubt, but one of the most deplorable, disgusting type of human being I've met

If this looks like I am blowing my steam, which I am, its because I am sick of awful team mates. 5 Games in a row I've had to deal with this. And I am sure there are people who will comment that I am the one who sucks as I am still in B5. But try to look from my perspective and think how hard it is now as there are way more players than before

Getting out of Bronze/Silver/Gold are so easy because of ONE simple FACT:

No matter how 'fed' someone on the enemy team gets their gold income is still absolutely shit. I can outscale low elo by just playing the map efficiently until I am 3-5 levels ahead and 2 full items. At that point you can just 2 shot people, which means you can carry if you play smart and pick them off. You would be surprised how much gold is left on the map for anyone to take in low elo. Take the gold, carry the match.

NuggeTech1 votes

Well ofcourse you can. But in a match, where all 10 players are in bronze, if a lane feeds then it is gg. Zero chance of comeback. Also, an uncooperative player who says that he won't do crap cuz we didn't help him, then we can't do crap. And for a support player like me, the only way to get gold is by assisting, kills (if i play an aggressive support) or towers. I can't use the entirety of the map like the jg.

u should give up on getting out of bronze 5 then i think since you've proven that it is near impossible. It is a waste of time. Start a new account :)

I think you can carry as support in bronze it's just completely diffrent to carrying in let's say gold, where players have an idea how to win a game.

You need to be the guide and mental support too. lul

At the end of the day if the other 9 players are all the same level of shit, you should be able to influence the match enough if you are slightly better. Maybe you won't get a crazy 80%-90% win rate, but 60% is enough. So you still have to lose 40%, just don't get discouraged by these losses, it's part of the climbing process.

Ok, so don't take his camps then, they take 1:40 to respawn. Take the enemy jungler's camps or find waves that are about to hit your team's towers.

Mizuki Zahra1 votes

well ya but come one he only took wolves 2 times and gromp once it was on map for 13 min that's when I took it

Kaioko2 votes

Stop playing bottom lane in bronze. If you actually play at a higher level than the rest of your team, then hitting every CS perfectly and getting 5-6 kills within the first 15 minutes on your lane opponent while punishing the jungler at the same time and picking up a few more kills and buffs is pretty easy. From there you split push and end the game before 30 minutes.

Which roles are you suggesting?

Which roles are you suggesting?

Mid and top are the easiest. Pick a hard carry champion that will scale well. Something like Riven, Fiora, Darius top as for mid you can pick more along the lines of the assassins, ahri, Viktor etc... You need champions that excel at dealing with multiple opponents at the same time. Bronze players aren't good enough to figure out how to coordinate their attacks so personally if I play Fiora against them beating them 1 vs 3 after having a couple items is fairly easy.

Darius Tryndamere MasterYi XinZhao so theses guys top lane can do that?

Great solution, if this would get popular who is gonna cover the bot lane?

Sona is one of the best supports to carry with. Your ADC trash? Build a lot of damage and carry. Team engagement garbage? Let someone get jumped then ult to save them.

Hit me up and we can duo im not perfect but im trying to get better and instead of 4 randoms it would be three.

Getting out of bronze isn't hard if you are good*

What defines being good differs, but in my experience Bronze (and much of ranked) is a coin flip due to factors that you can't control. Laggy teammates, opponents that fight each other, some guy on your team trying a new build, some guy on the enemy team getting autofilled as your lane opponent, etc.

It's a major shit show that people get desperate to leave for possibly the wrong reasons and focus on carrying to win instead of playing to get better.

N Komaeda2 votes

I'm always really careful with saying that.

I know I'm fairly good at the game, but as a Support Main, I cannot carry myself out of Bronze easily. If you really want to win in Bronze, you would either need to improve rapidly and well, or duo queue with someone you are comfortable duo q-ing with.

It's fun how you're saying that people in Bronze play to carry and not to get better, because that's what I've noticed a lot. People give up when they fail their lane, or get first blooded. It's extremely annoying to have those kinds of people in your team.

Ralanr1 votes

Surprisingly my bronze experience hasn't really been that depressing. Sure there were some games that took a toll on my sanity (like having three tanks but being unable to protect the Draven) but rarely was it due to the words of my teammates or the enemy.

Granted I mute the enemy and only use chat to apologize for mistakes, take blame when a teamfight goes south, try and keep people motivated (we can do this goes a long way) and make sure I'm in the loop for tactics.

Though I haven't played ranked since I lost my promos. I went on a massive losing streak in both ranked and norms (it's over now) after them and it kinda got me down.

N Komaeda1 votes

Of course, it's different for everyone, because the people you get in your games are different from time to time. One game, you might get a guy who constantly repeats your pings, making walking around without getting ping sounds in your ears every 0.5 second a bit harder, while others immediatly get toxic and start inting after their first death.

The reason I can't play Support in ranked is because I get blamed a lot. Since I am self-sacrificial in LoL, I often just let it get over me, which I shouldn't, because it tilts me. I'm trying to reach my old rank, then start playing Support again, since I can be able to rely on random ADC's.

I'll tell you, as a Support Main, I started taking Kayle becuase you can max Q, and one-point your W to give you the right amount of utility while going SS then hard AP and murder people in cold blood.

That's sort of what we need in the support lane at that level. The amount of times I've pulled off from killing someone so my ADC could have the kill, and they didn't close still hurts my soul today.

better to secure the kill

OH and that too. makes me hate some people. And eventually rage quit

Except smurfs are all leaving it. So it is also a skill thing.

HoodRatTingz1 votes

That tilts me majorly. Ranked is not for testing new builds or doing something different such as different summoner spells or trying out a new champ. Thats what normals are for. People do that on my team in Ranked and drag everyone down and feed the enemy team beyond any chance of you outplaying them and winning. Thats why i dont play ranked.

FooDang1 votes

Gotta snowball hard enough and win. Lower elo games take forever because they dont know how to close early. Push for that 20 minute surrender and dont hesitate to go all in.

Lapis1 votes

Yep, that sounds about right. One question though because it's bugging me: How did you know he was blaming you if you muted him at the start of the game?

NuggeTech1 votes

After the game finished. He said Sona left me so I left y'all.

ZURELL1 votes

they could fix it by simply matching you with ppl who match ur mechanics. i wanna be matches with ppl who ping as much as i do. and other healthy things i do to win. who match my average cs per game. who win as much as i do. tbh i dont think players are rewarded as much as they should be for winnning in ranked.

in order to climb i have to win. in order to win i need a team. and not just any team. a team that is similar to my own game play mechanics

Thrëat1 votes

Supporting in bronze is useless. Even pro supports play other roles when smurfing in that low of elo.

You literally, and I do mean LITERALLY do NOT need your team mates to help you win in Bronze. It is 1v9able.

chipndip12 votes

So we're lying now?

It's not that you don't need them. You just don't need them to be all that great. You still need them unless you're playing very specific, snowbally champs.

I just played ranked with OP on a smurf and showed him that team mates didn't matter. Did a normal game firsst, ADC went AFK, didn't matter, I had over 2x everyone else's damage. Did a ranked game after and bottom lane was 0-8 within the first 5 minutes of the game, mid refused to do anything except bitch in all chat but I was able to 1v5.

It isn't that you are lying, you just don't know better.

chipndip11 votes

That isn't every game.

Besides, you did as I said and played a snowbally champ. After that you just took advantage of the fact that low elos don't know how to group to stop getting assassinated. If someone's a support player, or a tank player, carrying reliably isn't as easy, even if you're high elo, especially not consistently, which is the point.

Not true, but unfortunately in order to prove my point for YOUR to agree I would have to do a game with every single champion in the game, not worth the time.

Any game is carriable by any champ just because of how much gold is on the map and how little gold people actually take.

In the normal game I had 16k gold and the enemy team's highest was 8k gold. I denied the whole enemy team so much gold that I DOUBLED their gold. It would not matter what champion I played, an 8k lead on 1 person means that 1 person can EASILY carry if they ARE NOT BAD. Now if a Bronze 5 somehow got that lead they would probably throw it, because they aren't good, but if anyone with a reasonable amount of skill gets that far ahead, regardless of what champion they are playing ,they will carry.

In the ranked game I had 18k, next on on enemy team was 15k. Their ADC was literally spoon fed kills. As I said, the bot lane was like 0-8 in pretty much the first 5 minutes. Even with him getting fed I was able to find more gold on the map and snowball harder. I had a 3k lead and made much more of an impact than him by barely dying and having presence all over the map. The ONLY PERSON that did good on my team was the Swain, and that is because I baby sat him and literally handed him kills all early game. His first kill all he had to do was a single ability for it. I got the guy low, pinged him and let him clean up so he can have an easier time in the 1v1 lane.

I TOTALLY AGREE that a low elo player will struggle to carry every game consistently, but someone with high elo skill will EASILY impact a LOW ELO game enough to consistently win.

I'd love to see the replay of this. If only replay.gg was still working :(

GarthBrooksXD1 votes

I would consider myself a very trash player and i can easily carry 10 bronze games in a row no matter how retarded and afk the team is. So I would suggest just getting good and muting your entire team.

NuggeTech1 votes

If you play support and can carry 10 games then you are a god to me. [slayer-jinx-wink]

GarthBrooksXD2 votes

yeah ive done that before. support is a good role to carry bronze games. ur just learning the game tho. theres a whole lot of things you could be doing, opportunities and plays that you're missing. thats why ur a proud bronze 5 [slayer-pantheon-thumbs]

Whether or not you leave bronze is pretty much in your hands. I got stuck bronze 5 when season started and got to bronze 1 pretty quick. Now silver. Consider playing non traditional supports.

The Deckowner1 votes

you are playing support in bronze, that is your problem.

Hige1 votes

well, I did fall in bronze like 2 seasons ago, I carried my way out with basic game knowledge and that is still applicable... I mean, you were Sona vs Ezreal support, you scale WAY harder than what he could dream off plus you are more durable thanks to your heal, do not play passive against that, you gotta understand what are the strenghts and weaknesses of your whole team, of your champ and of your enemy.

Supports cannot carry as in they can't kill the enemy but currently Supports bring a ton of utility on the game that cannot be overlooked, you just need to figure out how and when to use your stuff, from the get go you do build good items on Sona so it all comes down to usage but...

There's no adaptability whatsoever, there's no point in picking the same champ and building it the same way against every team, I understand what it is to be a one trick pony and the benefits of it but you'll be able to "carry" better if you cater to your team's needs

FioraWillCarry1 votes

Bronze is pretty easy. I climbed to Silver from Bronze 3 like 4 times last season. Though I admit I'm having a lot more trouble this season to get out. I suspect that the general skill level of the population has gone up which is why it is harder for me this season. Also, since season 6, there were a lot of changes that made the game very reliant on snowballing which makes feeding teams a lot harder to carry today.

Mr Killalot1 votes

My best advice is to play a different role, specifically jungle, unless you can find a good adc to duo with. Take that role, get good with 2-3 champions and spam them like no tomorrow. I think jungle is the easiest to carry with because you have the most influence over the map.

My gameplan is to control objectives, and never stop accumulating gold. Farm, farm, farm some more. Farm your camps, farm enemy jungle camps, farm lanes that are pushed to your tower, farm empty lanes, tax your laners. Get yourself far ahead in gold, then throw your weight around.

If you wanna get out of bronze, you gotta accept that there's a 9/10 chance that each person on your team is trash. Don't rely on them. Don't follow their bad calls. Don't try to save them when they suicide. Just focus on getting yourself so strong that no one on the opposing team can stop you and force your way to victory.

That being said, not every person you come accross will be trash though. There will be times when you can't carry but someone on your team is fed. IIn those situations, let the person that's fed carry and do everything you can to allow that to happen.

One last thing. Play a champion that can take towers. If you play a mage that has a god awful time taking towers, it's going to be that much more difficult. You can't rely on your team to help you with them, so you need to be able to do it yourself.
