How Come Sonas Basic Abilities Still Get Disabled When She Casts An Basic Ability?

The 'auras' do not stack after being cast, so I don't see a real issue with removing the disable when she casts an ability.

It effects how quickly she can chain Power Chords.

That's a very good question.

Now that she has no auras, there is no reason for the global cooldown on her skills.

It's a hold over limitation when her auras were half of vision range, to prevent her from spamming in order to universally buff her entire team. It initially allowed a 1 second overlap, but when they reworked her, they removed that along with her identity; and why she was a common pick.

IIRC they did that to make it look like her old aura gameplay, and feel a little like it as well.

I don't remember them saying any specific gameplay reason for it though, specific to her current kit.

It's so she doesn't completely spam qw and e. during teamfights and hope to be useful.

Though, that matters a lot less now since the auras don't stack, I agree.

It really doesn't stop anything tbh.
