Top Lane feels terrible to play, especially as a main myself.
Like, last season I could tolerate the fluctuation of the meta here and there, going from tanks to bruisers and fighters.
However, there's just something about this season specifically that for some reason just makes playing top feel terrible. If I had to pin it on something, it has to be the lack of structure and stability balance for toplane. More times than not, melees in top are clearly outclassed by ranged. Not only that, but with how snowballish and volatile this meta has been, has made top lane influence just more and more non-existent unless you are fed to high hell on a champ like Riven. Even then, you are still at the mercy of your entire team.
Like, even without the mutual feelings from other top mains who have spoken on the same thing, I know something's wrong when my pool goes from decent (roughly 10 champs) to one trick within less than one month since the beginning of a season (currently stuck one tricking Sylas). Something needs to be done about this Riot, and I hope you feel the same, because the issue stems from more than just Conqueror. Its champ reworks (Aatrox) and champ classes.
pick one, spend a few games gitting gud, then smash everything that walks top, ranged or otherwise.
) is heavily macro-based. Reading the game, getting some idea of the capabilities and priorities of all players on both sides before you need to use this knowledge, is how you win.
