HalcyonDweller1 votesChanging keybindings is not against the summoner's code. It's binding multiple keystrokes to occur on one button that is against the rules.
This is just changing user interface to better take advantage of a champion's attack speed for kiting. Similar to rebinding Left Mouse Button to attack move as a marksman.
I used to use that myself and was never punished for it, probably because it's simply changing a key binding rather than using a macro. I have since changed it back because I hated not being able to left click things to see information or move my minimap.
I am fairly certain that Riot does not oppose such optimizations.
