How much impact do you feel playing at weird hours has on game quality? I usually play super late at night into mornings, and it seems like if ur playing past 1am every game starts to be a complete stomp. Im guessing the numbers of players drop so matchmaking, which already really sucks, starts to suck harder. Or perhaps thats just been my experience.
People after 1-2 am really play for fun. At least here in EUW around plat, people are more relaxed or chill, we don't give a shit about ranks (at least, again, for me). There's a few black sheeps that tryhard or pick stuff like Ornn in rankeds, but hey if they're happy (remember to report them).
When it's so late at night nobody cares they just want to play. If they win, fine. If they lose, whatever.
EDIT: There's like a range. up till 1AM: normal games, nothing weird 1AM to 2AM: normal games with random people who might troll or are drunk 2AM to 4AM: this is where you play for fun and don't care 4AM to 7AM: very weird games, don't queue up unless you're experienced in the previous tiers
50/50 chance its even less if your good at the game. pretty much a dice roll.
Definitely has some. Just now for instance, I finished a game at 5:30 (tl;dr, I go to bed at 6:am a lot), and had a game where our Zed lost badly to a mid lane ADC Thresh, and the Kai'sa ADCwent 0/13/1 by always diving into an Ez and Pyke going melee range against the Darius and that same Thresh.
Never going to play a game before I go to bed ever again.
I only play ranked. On my main, in mid diamond games, it feels like the game quality goes up a lot after around 2am EST.
I play at every time of the day. Nothing changes at gold and on down.
Queueing up at late night will grant you a higher chance of having to deal with Chinese players on NA.
