The Definition of "Throw"
Have you ever had a match that was like the worst of League all together in one match? I can now say that I have had that displeasure.
- The enemy team was without smite.
- Our Draven was in character, whining when anyone else got the kill but him.
- Our Panth spent the entire match trying to go 1v4. "I'm the 1v4 king," he says.
- Our Draven DCs. Then when he comes back, Akali DCs.
- We had waves at our second to last turrets top and bot, with Naut at the one, but my team clearly thought they were too good for turrets.
- And inhibitors. Yes, leave me... Leona... the support to try and defend base by myself. In a 4v5.
- Panth just died trying to 1v4? Oh, wait, Akali thinks she can do better! Nope.
- We have one inhib left, I'm back defending (or trying to; people keep backdooring), and it's 4v5. Naturally, that means you keep going for their one open inhib, even if it means 3v4 or 3v5. It didn't work the last half dozen times, but 7th time will be the charm.
- "insert ally here has targeted Nautilus." Focus the tank? Why, sure!
- Wards? Who needs 'em?
- They're going for dragon? Meh, we have 3. They can have this one.
- Our base is being overrun? Forget the inhib you've been trying for in
all this time. We all 'bout dat dragon now! - Draven dies "wtf lagg"
As it was becoming clear their refusal to defend was gonna cost us the match, I had to say it. "You guys deserve to lose." I really wish I could click a button to make it so I never see these 4 again in any fashion, particularly in a match. I go in trying to practice my Leona support and spend most of my time without an ADC, either because he's off on his own as a turret or inhib is about to fall or DCed, or fighting a losing battle against hordes of minions at our base. Long story short, that's enough League for today. Thank you, team. Your legendary throw has killed what was left of my spirit after going 0-2 in promos with trolls in both.
