is anyone else tired of reworks?

i can see that some reworks are necessary because the champ in question has both a terrible winrate and playrate.

poppy, for example, was considered a troll pick because of how old and outdated she was as a champ. despite the fact that good poppy players were pretty terrifying, i would say her rework was overall a success. her kit is interesting and fun and she's actually one of the best top laners now.

but then there have been champions that were both balanced AND fun to play, and they were reworked for no reason

my best friend mained old morde and has now quit league because his rework is so awful, and shen used to be my favourite top laner until the rework. i find him incredibly boring to play now, and he has no sustain built into his kit anymore. they took champs that were balanced, champs we genuinely enjoyed playing, and changed their whole kits because.. they wanted to? i don't even know why.

and now mages are being "updated" for no reason too. although some mains of these mages might be happy with it, i've seen nothing but overwhelming negativity from viktor and syndra mains. but i'm pretty sure nothing is going to change, and these updates will still go live.

i know these are small updates that don't change much of the champions' kit, but it's still sad to see people that quit playing their favourite champs because of a bad rework. players should be excited for new content and changes to champs that they enjoy, not fearing them. i should not be worried that my main will get reworked.
