I don't understand.

he got buffed twice lately. i don't remember his last buff but i think it was a W cd reduction. and something else.
and how his Ult has lower CD.
he has the highest playrate of any support for. over a year now. ever since i started playing league. thresh is in every normal and ranked game. well most of them at least.
shit is getting old.

so we are talking about a champ who gets no armor per level, has a skill shot for a hook that a windup animation who got his bonus per soul reduced, he passive damage on e reduced and his over all hp reduced?
he is a high skill mechanical intense champ he has completely fallen out of the bot lane you hardly ever seen him and if you do you play around him. he has no viable starting item cuz he is considered a ranged on autos
its hard as hell to proc unless you time it with bonus passive on E then you dont have that damage to poke with.
im sorry i fail to see your point

What does win rate have anything to do with what he said?

well the OP is stating that
doesnt need buffs cuz he is too highly picked implying he is is a strong support. i argued that thresh with below a 50% win rate and having the over 16th win rate would state he is need of some buff to make him on par with the rest of the supports.
that is where the win rate comes in
geezus chackers
He's right about average when it comes to win rate, though. 50% doesn't always mean healthy, especially if the champion has polarizing statistics elsewhere (high ban rate, pick rate, etc).
A champion with that level of pick rate isn't suffering. Even if you went by win rate alone, he's not exactly left in the dust either.

i never said he was op i just said he isnt on par with the other supports right now and he is by far the most difficult support mechanically in the game which is partly while his win rate is lower. but based on stats and points i made about his laning and ect he is very underwhelming as the game goes and he gets items and cdr he is stronger and can scale for ever with passive damage on E and armor with the souls. but why play
right now when i can play
provide more cc a bigger tank and a point and click ult?

The problem with Thresh. Late game fantasy but actually does best in mid game. And his early game is 100% dependant on how weak the enemy bot lane's pre-six is.
So he is essentially a harder to play Blitz with slightly more rewards when played better, but he still has less damage overall. Not to mention that a lot of magic damage is flying around right now thanks to keystone masteries helped to further prey on his weakness.

really because i don't think any support in the game has as much utility as thresh.
thresh has range. and he can't pull his own allies from danger. also has way more cc.

have you met

so a small tweek to bring him just up enough to make him more viable is with in reason?
He got some pretty hefty nerfs way back. Tbh he doesn't really need anything atm. As long as he can hook, knockup, and move team with lanterns he will be good.
Like the time when they removed his lantern's ability to shield all allies who passed through it?
