Revert Azir

What was the point of reworking Azir if you ended up nerfing him until he became the second lowest winrate mid laner? He's just as bad as he was before rework but with worse range, worse waveclear and worse ultimate. He used to be so much fun even when he was weak. He was my first true main. I loved using W to clear a line of caster minions with 3 autos. I loved using the Shurima Shuffle from a long distance. I loved poking the enemy from far away. He was fun and satisfying to play. The new Azir got rid of all the fun things about him. His W > Q is a joke. The soldiers barely move. His waveclear is laughable. Fizz can press W and shove faster than Azir. His long range shuffles are gone. Honestly, I'd rather have the underpowered pre-rework Azir than what we have now. So please, Riot, revert Azir.

I'm sorry Azir isn't borderline OP in trash elo....wait, I'm not.

People need to understand that not every champion has to be strong in solo que. Some are more inclined towards higher elo/pro play, some are more inclined towards trash elo and solo que.

Every champion works differently in the way the interact with both the opponents and the allies. Some require their allies to follow up and capitalize on plays, others don't. Just because in trash elo players aren't willing to coordinate enough, doesn't mean that the champion should be buffed to make up for player stupidity.

Also, if Azir got nerfed because he was boarderline bonkers in the hands of good players, shouldn't that give you an incentive to spend more time learning how to abuse him correctly? I mean, if he has so much power gated behind experience, don't you think it would be unfair for all those who put that experience and time into playing him to get to the point where he is so dominant?

No, his strong parts aren't just strong laning phase, but also roaming, siegeing and other things, that require more game knowledge than what a Silver has.

I feel like Azir could be THE botlane substitute for an ADC with some changes..

I think the general idea of Azir is flawed... He creates huge zones of control with his soldiers, but unlike Heimerdinger, who does something similar with his turrets, the enemy has no way to act against it.

You can destroy Heimerdingers turrets, taking away his zone control. But since Azirs soldiers are untargetable, you can't do anything against them except waiting for them to expire. Reducing his range was the right call in my opinion. Having that much zone control + range just never felt fair for me, especially with his amount of mobility so even if you managed to bypass that threatening zone, he could simply dash away AND has a self peel ultimate to make extra sure no one is able to touch him.

He had too much stuff going for him. The range of an Artillery Mage, the DPS of a Battlemage, the mobility of a diver, the engage potential of a Vanguard with his shuffle..... Taking away some strengths was necessary.
