a non boosted plat team will get stomped by a level 5 towerdive into bot tower into drake into 4v1 mid into mid tower too, since the enemy team is also not boosted so they know when to set up the gank. And since sightstone got fucked, gl warding bot if you're behind.

And for my teammates, alot of the time top lane roulette. People can say what they want about top lane but I've definitely been carrying my fair share of games as well.
Thefrostyviking2 votesMy normals tend to have a lot of plati´s (i myself only ever play to plati 5 in ranked as well) and i hardly ever have anything quite so bad as what OP describes happen.
Like once in 10 games does someone snowball uncontrollably but it's still pretty rare.
I do recall that in upper gold there were a lot of people who liked to ragequit last season......maybe people are just more chill in normals when your average MMR rises to a point=?

Whatever the fuck you want top. Whatever the fuck you want jungle. Whatever the fuck you want mid. Whatever the fuck you want ADC. Whatever the fuck you want support.
It's solo queue. Just go look at pick rates and you can see that half this is invalid.
If you want to consider Gnar a tank, he's the 4th pick rate top. If you want to consider him a bruiser, Sion is the most picked tank top lane at 7th. You go past that and you have Nasus (again, more of a bruiser than tank) at 10, and then Shen, Maokai, Ornn at 13,14,15 respectively. Cool, "Tanks that can perma CC you" we have 3 that can CC chain you, because again; one of the 4 tanks is Shen who has 1 cc on a long CD.
If you want to look at jungle a lot of great jungle clear times are low down where as better gankers are high up. Still within the top 15 picked it's a huge variance. You have great gankers with meh clears, great clearers with meh ganks, and everywhere in between.
Kassadin is the second most picked mid laner. You wanna tell me he is a wave clear bot? What about Katarina? Fizz? Yasuo? I'll let you make arguments that corki is afk wave clear, and hell, I'll even throw in ZED as an afk wave clear for the sake of your argument. That's already 4 champs who want to fight and not wave clear. That's not including the pokers like Zoe, Xerath. and Azir who will force to play on your toes.
Since ADC is such a small pool, we'll pull the top 8. We've got: Good early who falls off harder than pantheon late, we got an on hit utility adc, we have Vayne, we have a short range, ZERO MOBILITY adc, we have 2 long range adcs with self peel, and then we have two more of the shortest range adcs in the game with Lucian and Sivir who gives up a lot of power for utility.
Support has 7 supports who are amazing engagers while being tanky, and 10 total GOOD engagers in the top 15. We have 5 "Enchanters", most of them below the top 10, and we have 3 who are pretty bad at peel because of how much they need to engage/follow up on engage.

Pika Fox1 votesLCS is not indicative of LoL at large. Its extremely unrealistic, and the fact that it only gives teams a select few games to determine the winner makes teams have to play drastically different.
A risky call might have a 70% chance of success, and over thousands of games would let you rise in ELO. But the same call would be terrible in an environment where you only get 3 games.

Pika Fox1 votesRiot balances around optimal gameplay, yes. Not really a point. Doesnt mean a meta exists in LoL, fact is one doesnt. A meta exists in the LCS because you cant take risks, so any champ not deemed safe enough for said comps arent viable in the LCS, but are viable in LoL in general. Or, at least, arent viable in many teamcomps that arent likely to be used in the LCS. Most champs can be played in the LCS, but under certain conditions.

However, it follows the rules of "everyone knows what they're doing" which removes the rogue variables like someone picking a champ they never played because it's a counterpick to their opponent but they lose because they don't know what either champ does.

What Is Smite1 votesI've been playing a bit of Skarner jungle recently, his clears are fast enough for me to do 2 camps and buffs on the first clear with machette and go into a gank around the same time the enemy jungler goes for one. After that I can just chain gank the other two lanes for either a summoner spell or kiil. but other than that the other 4 are quite accurate though support needs to also add on CC and healing.
