Change to Runes that NEEDS to happen.

Currently there are runes/page combo bonuses that give you passive AD or AP based on your champion.

WELL...there are quite a few champions right now suffering from this. Katarina for example, is given AP, but very well may want AD instead. It NEEDS to be a CHOICE. Leona is another example. Leona is given AP, but AP has NEVER been useful on Leona, whereas AD has been, because her Q is a AA reset. Her most used rune page prior to this patch was a +15AD page even. We NEED to be able to choose whether we are getting AD or AP.

Doesn't kat have better AP ratios?

And doesn't every one of leonas abilities stack with AP? Including her Q?

Yes and yes. Doesn't mean you shouldn't have a choice.

Sometimes AD is better for Kat. as for Leona, AD is always better. Jax and Kayle come to mind as well.

Restricting player choice and gameplay diversity is never a good thing.

It only varies by champ at 0 bonus AD AND 0 AP built. If you have so much as a single longsword you get AD. Even one amp tone gets you AP.

How is AD ever better for kat?

AP will add more damage so its better. Its really that simple.

Kat isnt going to go around auto attacking people.

And even if leaona goes AA q AA im fairly certain the AP is still more damage.

I'm one of the most played Leonas around, AP is not more damage on Leona.

Mmmm thought leonas q had a better AP ratio than .3 so you might be right.

But simply playing the champ alot doesnt mean you automatically know anything about theorycrafting.

her AA>Q>AA is instant. so having +15 AD was 79AD+79AD/40magic damage+79AD>capped out Fervor Stacks or a Thunderlords Proc depending which you went with.

AP eventually outperforms AD, but its not until waaaay late game and you would need a pure AP assassin build....as Leona. AND youd be useless for the first 30mins of the game.

Thought it was what you had more bonus of and always ad if you have 0. Only awkward things I've run into are gangplank and sivir getting ap when they start doran's ring.

Also, I'm pretty sure Aftershock is Leona's best keystone, so I'm not sure what you're building to get a lot of offensive stats.

Aftershock is her best keystone ONLY because shes getting defaulted into AP even tho she has 0/0. Press the Attack in conjunction with Cheapshot would be better.
