skyskee0084 votesAre you boosted? 84% wr on Riven S6 with 50 games played but now you don't even play Riven? (if you're plat with that high w/r then you're easily diamond).
If you're not boosted then you SHOULD KNOW if you eat 1 auto from Quinn, pop your shield backwards. Instead of GREEDING FOR CS and getting chunked for half health, you take the auto whichll make the wave slow push to your side of the lane. From there you just try and SOAK XP and take any CS that you CAN GET. Being 20cs down is expected, the point is to not lose out on XP. Because level 6 you WILL BEAT Quinn with almost any top laner (commit your flash or w.e. you need for the all-in).
Also Quinn is fairly easy to gank especially if she's poking you under tower. If you play it wrong and you're 2-3 levels behind, no jungle will ever gank for a lane that doesn't know how to not eat shit for just 1 minion.

i can freeze all i want but eventually im going to get low enough from the ranged champ poking me leaving then coming back every 1 sec to do it again for free.
i had the enemy rengar sit top the entire game and no one batted an eye.

LankPants2 votesIt depends on the melee, some melees can beat Quinn, off the top of my head Jax's E fucks with her a lot, Irelia shits on her and GP can beat her although he's barely a melee.
Still your point isn't wrong, she is far too strong against most melees, if you don't have a way to shut down her AA damage like Jax or Shen and you're not a champ with extreme diving threat and multiple gap closers like Renekton or Irelia she's just absurd to play against.

Unless she is stupid enough to get cheesed around level 2 and you can back with a sheen but still she will get to the point where she oneshots you, if she cant beat you she will just roam and get kills there. Winning the lane is nigh impossible for gp.

Riven is one of the few champs with enough tools in her kit that she has no counters she can't play around.
Also: If you're staying more than 1.5 seconds to aa a minion, you're asking to be harassed down.

I'm so tired of this dumb fucking "ranged champs are unbeatable" circlejerk. divers shit on them. Even quinn, the monster, cannot properly deal with a good portion of the diver roster.
In addition to all of this, I did not say riven wins every lane; I said she BASICALLY CANNOT LOSE LANE. She can go even with her "counters" easily because of how many tools are in her kit. I'm not calling her op, but she has a very high skill ceiling and is rewarding.

According to your logic 100% of the entire meta should be based around ranged champions and all juggernauts shouldn't be played at all. Well, it's not.
Although it's quite the jungler you got there if you're getting pushed 24/7 and he won't gank, it might be your fault. As a jungle main there are 2 rules I strictly abide by.

Haha nah, but as a jayce main i can help you out. You dont explain what you main, so ill just say a simple melee champ like 
. If youre laning as Darius against Jayce, take exaust and Ghost. Jayce sucks against close ranged fights and runs out of mana quickly. If your want to kill him, ward the brush that he continues to walk into after he autos you. Then at level 3, pull him in, exaust, q, auto, w, auto, e, auto, dead. If he flashes or backs, then he will fall behind. He relies on staying in lane to snowball. At level 6 a decent darius should be able to take a Jayce on with his ult.
Your main goal is to ward that brush he walks into, to use out all of jayces mana, and to keep your lane pushed. Jayce sucks farming under tower because of his low attack speed and damage. Hope this helps.

ItsOrval3 votesJayce does not gain much armor in melee form lol. His abilities are a whole Q+E in melee. His W being useless other than its passive. If youre playing smart, youd wait for the Jayce to Q on top of you, then Es you away. Then youd pull him in and Q. If you pull him and he switches to melee and E's away, then that is fine because youre making him lose his mana.
Literally if you want to destroy any Jayce in lane just build 
, his abilities wont do any damage to you for a long time and it will make him lose lane.
Against a Riven youd just wait till level 6 and ult dive him. Dont engage him early, if you do youre just screwing yourself over in the long run.

Well id hope as a Riven you wouldnt be pushing your lane so hard against a Jayce when you have no vision of enemy jungler. Thats why you ward so you are prepared for that stuff. I always buy a red ward and place it on the enemies blue/red depending on what side im on.

ItsOrval1 votesYour goal is to shut down Jayce as early as you can. If you are letting him hurt you so much that you have to back over and over, then you need to just improve your laning skills. When facing a Jayce, always get 
first. It will punish Jayce when he uses all his mana on you and youre still at full health.

DravenxJanna1 votesPlay Pantheon. Youĺl shit all over quinn, just q every time it is up and all in level 2. Also, take barrier ignite against her, not flash tp. Your ulti Compensates for the fact that you did not bring a teleport, so you can still roam and have nice map presence. Once you purchase boots of mobility you can roam quite easily while getting back to top lane with plenty of time to not have your tower demolished.
