fiora does too much damage.

MunchCrunchLunch··91 votes·5,301 views

thats literally. about it. her scalings are too high so that she doesn't need to get that MUCH ad to achieve high damage. what base damage do people talk about. her base damage in her passive is 3%. low as heck. and the rest is just basic attacks. she gets a free crit while not having to waste money on crit items. I mean how many times do I have to beat fiora in lane just to lose to her. not even late game. just mid game after she gets 2 items. its just ridiculous. nobody needs that much true damage. and a free crit. come on now rito

as simple as it is. fiora does too much damage. too much. idk how tanky or not she is. she does too much damage no matter how she builds. i cant even tell the different

you forgot to mention her lack of any real mana costs. I've never seen a fiora go OOM even though they are spamming abilities.

not true. Spamming Q, no they wont go oom. But thats only if they spam only Q, a single all in and shes out of mana.

Problem is that good Fiora will Q poke and then all in. Q poking the vitals is all she really needs tbh.

Yeah, she will be out of mana, you will be dead. Whooptydoo, what an ISSUE!

Q: 20-40 W: 50 E: 40-60

What horrifying mana costs. Truly using all 3 at once will drain her 300-980 mana pool to zero. With her Q leveled first you'll spend about... 110. There are individual spells that cost more than her entire rotation.

Im talking about it lane, you dumb fuck. At Level 6 a single all in will leave her at zero mana. That or two trades. And shes out. Now if you use Q for farming your mana will go down faster. At level 18 ofcourse shes not going to run oom a lot, but no one really does unless you havent backed in like, 8 minutes and have fought like 3 different times.

WalkingInACircle11 votes

Right, and I proved your claim wrong with math. Stating it again and insulting me does not make your fiction into fact.

raynac2 votes

yeah but there are alot of champs with the same problem, have you fought a shen? i have and he pretty much continued casting everything and didnt even get close to half enegery. there are alot of resourcesless top laners I think they only add mana to her so that she cant spam her abilities forever and for always.

I fought yasuo last night! it was intense lots of jumping around and dodging scrambling to catch up. except when it was all said and done we both at around 100 hp but I had no mana and he had his shield and no resources. this happened multiple times in the laning phase. shes rough if someones forcing the fights.

as for her damage I see her true damage as a way for her to fight bruisers. a reward for skillful play

Shen's E costs nearly half all of his energy btw

Rikari3 votes

She goes OOM quite often. I'd rather take his word over yours comparing his games on fiora to yours. Her basic poke combo takes 60 of her 329 mana at level 2,so thats 18% of her mana gone in poking alone. poke 5 times and you're oom, while her riposte costs 50 mana and her ulti is 100. Also if you want to all in at level 6,its 220 of her 458 mana,as in 48%. The best part is that she has even worse waveclear than even ezreal. Shes not on GPs level of mana problems, but she has mana issues. Take it from the guys who have more than 0 games on fiora, the costs add up. If his games on Fiora aren't enough, compare mine then. Does that math help the argument? If a champ like Nasus who only spends 20 of 492 mana every 5 seconds goes OOM, or Irelia with 150 of 438 per trade,Fiora looks pretty low. Also, said "Individual spells that cost more than her rotation" often have measures to regenerate mana. The only exception being Lux who you people think is OP so you ignore the cost.

No.

Lovely argument, clearly stated, obviously not weighed by any personal emotions and wholly supported by factual statements proven with mathematical incurrences. You main fiora don't you?

Please. Not matter how much math we throw at you Fiora mains you still come with some bullshit reason to justify her ridiculous powerbudget, or what powerbudget btw, Fiora barely has one.

http://leagueoflegends.wikia.com/wiki/Fiora

We have here, a champion who has:

Free crits tacked on to her E Free attack speed and bonus range tacked on to her E Potent but short slow ALSO tacked onto her E

If you broke it down, that's half of Tryndamere's kit in ONE skill.

Do I really need break up the rest of her kit for you to understand why this champ is utter bullshit. Champs are supposed to have weaknessess, where the are Fioras weaknessess?

The only weakness she ever had was being squishy, now almost builds straight tank will still producing carry level damage while providing support level utility with her stupid heal and personal panic button denying all damage, summoners, cc, everything except towershots and throwing it back in your opponents face from 750 range. Because derp such skillz.

Edit: You are also exagarating her mana costs, her full rotation at lvl 3 is 110 mana, there single skills in this game that have higher cost so when you say she goes oom, as if she had 0 mana regen, I don't know what heck you are talking about.

UnderscorBunnies2 votes

Ignore the fact that her E has a cooldown and Tryndamere passive is well, a passive.

That being said, Fiora is a champion that was made to spam spells. It would be stupid for her to go OOM after one spell rotation, just like it would be stupid for Lissandra to go OOM after one spell rot.

LittleBlast1 votes

Trynd also has a 5(?) Second immunity to death, farely long dash that does AOE dmg, on demand heal, permenant crits, AOE slow, AOE ad reduction, and waveclear. Fioras E is definitely tryndamere in 1 skill.

No body should listen to anything Mr. Pumpkin Kinq has to say about anything fiora related, he literally spends all his time in these fiora chats spewing nonsense about how she isn't broke. Never anything useful to add to any conversation, pretty sure he doesn't want one of his favorite champs nerfed.

Kyyduvll9 votes

She needs to be nerfed into the fucking ground.

MLDzXnRRR6 votes

She deals true dmg with the vitals and the ult. Her DPS and burst are bad compared to the prereworked FIora- she was a pentakill machine.

Celestial Lion125 votes

but pre rework fiora if she got behind was useless

Arakadia1 votes

Like any other champion...

LittleBlast2 votes

An 0-4 trynd can still splitpush, an 0-157 nautilus can still peel and cc, not being able to 100-0 someone =/= useless

Arakadia1 votes

That Nautillus will just die swiftly most likely. You didn't list champions like Yas, Udyr, etc. who are really weak if they get behind. I meant all champions become much less useful if their behind as Naut can't peel that well if he dies fast and Reksai can't do much if she's behind.

She isn't toxic now to begin with. She's not dominating the rankings and she can be counter-played. What's the issue?

Knoyle6 votes

How is %hp true damage not an issue to you? It can't be counter built and no matter what you will be hit by it fighting her especially when Fiora goes tank and is impossible to flat out delete.

Yet old Fiora had clear weaknessess, if she commited you could punish her hard since she didn't have any escapes. She also built glasscannon.

New Fiora has just as much free mobility as the old one had sticking power making her far more versatile and more of a generalist, she is just as sticky as the old fiora without having to commit for five cents.

I wish they could remove her heal, I don't know what to give her instead but having a tank that deals massive true damage while also having an aoe heal (which doesn't suit her at all thematically thoguh most new fiora mains will probably disagree because freelo is fun),makes for a pretty toxic combination.

Old Man Teeto6 votes

I more hate that when she takes a trade, even if it should be a bad trade, she gets a Vital proc for good damage, sustain, and movespeed to decide if she can all-in or back off.

You can't get good trades onto her unless you're one of her counterpicks, and she hard counters almost 90% of the top laners at some point of the game.

Also her Riposte shouldn't be as personally favorable, spell shields are strong because they negate an enemy's ability, often times their most important one and have small additional effects. Nocturne gets more attack speed, Sivir refunds mana. Fiora gets to negate huge parts of champions kits since she can block multiple spells -- even from multiple enemies -- and also turn any form of CC into an AoE CC skill shot.

With how telegraphed they've made CC in this game -- very very few spells are instant CC -- the counterplay to Riposte is "win the fight without my most important ability" which unless you don't have those types of abilities (Quinn) you tend to just auto-lose fights.

Fiora 115% bonus AD scaling, 4.5% max health true damage per 100 bonus AD. Illaoi 100% AD scaling + 160% for each tentacle, 8% per 100 AD on test of spirit damage echo. LeeSin 480% bonus AD scaling. Graves 345% bonus AD scaling, 219.8% AD on AA (landing all 4 pellets) JarvanIV 270% bonus AD scaling. Jax 200-250% bonus AD scaling. Khazix 240-380% bonus AD scaling. Poppy 220%bonus AD scaling. Draven 160% bonus AD scaling, up to 355% AD damage on every AA (spinning axes).

At 556 bonus AD, Fiora's ult can 100-0 someone via only true damage. item 3072 item 3139 item 3074 item 3812 item 3147 item 3031 = 440 = 21% per vital item 3071 item 3748 item 3812 item 3156 item 3053 item 3142 = 300 = 16.5% per vital

Vayne 12% max health true damage every 3ed auto (no scaling), 100% bonus AD scaling.

No real point to this. Just some fun numbers.

Yeah, but beating Fiora in lane is staggeringly hard because of her overloaded kit, and even if you do, it won't take her long to outscale you.

Dengeden2 votes

Eh, not really, all you need to do is play around vitals. Her waveclear is mediocre without a Hydra and her damage is meh without a Cleaver too boot.

You mean play around her vitals that don't away until after 15 seconds and instantly remarks?! Hmmm? How do play around that without being at least as mobile as Fiora? Have you seen the hitbox on her Q... fuck this shit man, tired of repeating myself and tired of whining about this cancer champ.

Dengeden2 votes

Mostly by reading my second sentence. Otherwise, position yourself away from her so she has a hard time hitting your vital without eating a full combo. Or you can simply outsustain her and push her in. It's the same principle as laning as against LeBlanc.

Arakadia1 votes

I'v beaten her in lane before, yet she comes back. I remember once I was Nasus. I went 2/0/1 and she still 1v1 me with my ult on.

Haha, Q has a huge hitbox and prioratizes vitals. And since she get's cheese MS from hitting it, it widens her options.

Riposte lasts 3/4 of a second during which time she is immune to all damage except that from turrets. Pretty much every form of cc is telegraphed so it doesn't take a genius to use effectively, though I do believe most Fiora mains must feel like Insec when ya'll manage that cheese for easy getaways and lockdowns, because so hard to riposte someone that is chasing you.

Riposte also has a massive 750 range (longer than any adc can shoot) and it's defensive component works as AOE (you don't even have to do it in the general direction of where the cc is coming from to entirely deny the cc and damage.

So, what is it that actually takes skill with her and why do you assume I haven't played her?

Masala Chai1 votes

If Q didn't have a massive hitbox, then it would be next to impossible to hit vitals.

Fiora's W is basically Fizz E on a 24-16 sec cooldown, lower if she has CDR. Yeah, it can stun if she blocks immobilizing cc. The delay for the stab, is as long as Illaoi's Q. So you are given a pretty good opportunity to dodge a reflected cc. Especially if you are ranged.

And New Fiora sure as heck takes more skill than Fiora. Old Fiora was Press R to win the game. New Fiora has more finesse in general, and her bases on lunge are pretty crap, I would get rid of the base on her passive, and then call it a day.

Dude yeah old fiora pressed R to win now here is this new fiora who spam Q allday to win the game, pardon me but killing anyone who you want with 1 spell is not balanced nor fair on a BASE spell, and her W i can understand the AA dodging, I can deal with the CC and magic dmg block BUT FOR THE LOVE OF GOD how fair is that she can block true dmg.... i mean wtf THATS WHAT TRUE DMG IS FOR ignore EVERYTHING yet she do nothing, absore Garen ult 1,6 K , Darius ult 1K, Olaf E 300 , for NO REASON and even ignite.... now thats BS man

Masala Chai2 votes

Pantheon blocks Vayne's W true damage if the triggering attack was blocked, Fiora's passive if his Passive is up. Fiora parries true damage because she is invulnerable like Vlad and Fizz for the duration. THe difference is that she is still targetable.

Arakadia1 votes

Every champion has of to decide when to go in or not...

Swae71 votes

Fiora is different... As a fiora, u are supposed to kill everyone in the game and their families. Having mercy or not is the question.
