@ Reds Question about Jinx

Why not give flame chompers a very low AD ratio? I know the reason AD champs are given AP ratios is for people who can play them AP Like on Tristana Varus Lucian MissFortune KogMaw

you can completely understand how AP on them can be a fun off-meta build because they have multiple abilites that scale with it INCLUDING thier ults.

but i have NEVER EVER seen a AP Jinx nor a AP Graves .

can we remove the AP ratios and give them a very minimal AD scaling?

AD champs are sometimes given AP ratios to support off builds or to give a small amount of power from items with some AP on them that may be attractive otherwise (e.g. Trinity Force back when it gave some AP). The amount of power in that AP ratio's basically nonexistent for AD builds though, so removing it wouldn't buy as any room to give Jinx more AD ratios.

As to why Flame Chompers don't scale with AD in the first place that's because they're intended to be a primarily utility effect, particularly as the game goes on. Jinx's damage is heavily concentrated into her auto attacks in a way that wouldn't be as possible if her E damage scaled well with items.

I know this seems a little off topic, but how do you feel about AP MF after the nerf to the base damage of her E? Would giving it a better ap ratio be too much?

Just curious.

This is off topic and is targeted @Poppy

What are thoughts on giving poppy's passive an ap ratio? It deals magic damage already and gives ap poppy some use aside from stop all dashes.

So every time I get reported for playing AP Lucian I can say "But Rito wants me to be able to play AP Lucian!"?

it's more that you can say it's not breaking any rules. riot doesn't want you to play ap lucian, but they allow it, just as they allow ad lucian (they try not to force a meta, and they try to allow for off builds). they leave the choice up to you, as long as you aren't actually trying to ruin anyone's game.

Why not just remove the AP scales on such utility spells (ex: Caitlyn's Yordle Snap Trap) and/or give them a really low AD scaling? As you said, even when Trinity Force had AP, it still wasn't a very good AD option in most cases. What hybrid items can we choose from now? Just Rageblade and Gunblade, both of which are generally far less effective than alternatives or only fit one particular build or champion (on an ADC).

It gets an AP ratio because it's completely a utility spell, like Ashe's Arrow or MF's E. They aren't meant to be taken for their damage.

Although AP Ashe is hilarious if she hits her arrow.

Only if you build item 3151

AP ashe arrows actually hurt REALLY bad.

AP Jinx... not so much

Also Ashe can serve as a utility support

jinx only has one role in a fight and thats to put out massive DPS.
