Wukong Rework ideas

feintfiend··2 votes·898 views

He W should be able to spawn 3 clones in the early game and up to 8 late game. REMOVE THE INVISIBILITY None of his clones can attack and will instantly die when hit by an enemy ability/auto atack.

RIot needs to make him a true trickster outwitting his opponents. He should keep that dash and Q should be a long range skillshot that goes through minions. His R is unhealthy and should be replaced.

Lol... This is League of Legends, not Naruto. What's next? Cassiopeia can summon a larger version of her? LeBlanc can use rinnegan. Draven can summon numerous axes, Camille can super jump?

What you're proposing is more a new champion concept. Clones are going to ruin the game if they are too out numbered and draws a major advantage. If that magically were to be implemented, the clones would only last one second as if any longer it would highly ruin team fights and cause a lot of commotion.

Plus that's what Shaco is for, you're basically killing off Shaco with a Super Shaco.

Shaco only spawns 1 clone which can attack. Wukong's clones wouldn't be able to attack but would move with him. The use of these clones would be baiting abilities like Zed R or Rengar R and escaping after assassinating a squishy and to dive a squishy. They'd be about mindgames not damage output and would strengthen his trickster identity that i hope RIot expands on.

Now you're describing the new/old LeBlanc's passive/clone... It's been done and to go even more than one clone would just be a joke.

Also Shaco's clone is more mind games than your mind can game. Same with Wu's W, you don't have to press W to mindgame someone. Just stand still and they'll question if you W'd or not.

Plenty of abilities in this game are similar. This would be a basic abilitiy that could be used at any health and when you want. A lot of people, myself included don't like invisibility mechanics especially when the counterplay to them low. "would just be a joke". What kind of argument is this lmao "Shaco's clone is more mind games than your mind can game", stay on topic not sure why you're insulting me for just throwing soome rework ideas and seeing what sticks. I just want to expand on his trickster persona and shonen influences.

So you're explaining it's not an ultimate (from the sounds of it, it is an ultimate ability Wu uses to clone himself like "Naruto" so he can play "mind games" when his W is good for that exact reason already? I'm lost now because it becoming complicated like "Naruto". Wait are you a filler?

this isn't a reason/excuse to "rework" something because you hate something and or can't counterplay it. Hence the reason Wu Kong isn't 'reworked' by the Devs.

This was an argument? If so, you already lost when you stated you wanted Wu to get a rework and wanted him to be like "Naruto"... Because Naruto is a joke therefore you're already one. But nice try.

I was stating what Shaco's clone does and can do. Your explanation to the new idea of the new rework for Wu is basically the same mechanics Shaco can do with his Ult EXCEPT Shaco's ult can do damage.

< I don't even know if I should reply/comment to you, you sound lost and kind of fragile.

This is how I know you don't play Shaco. Shaco's ult is all about the damage with his double duskblade proc. this ability would provide no damage while Shaco's provides huge damage which is why it's an R. This ability isn't CC or damage.

And for this reason, this is how I know you're not well knowledge with League as a whole. Who knows, maybe you started playing this year and fell in love with Wu because he resembles your love for Naruto, an anime where ninjas exists and have abilities to have clones of themselves...

This is League, where it's balanced and isn't as fantasy based as Naruto. Sure we have dragons, deads, clones and ninja stars...

I play Shaco, ha so the joke's on you. His ultimate isn't just a power play for damage... You clearly don't play him at all...

I have to stop replying to you, my League IQ is dropping to Naruto -_-

What annoys me is you aren't responding to me with valid points and when I call you out you just deflect by insulting me for bringing up Naruto. I'm not some Naruto fanboy but I could see the two having similarities. You're providing no reasoning or evidence bud just stop, at least I have the decency to stay on topic and not make fun of you.

I legitimately don't think you knew about the double duskblade proc before I mentioned it and how Shaco's R is balanced around Duskblade.

That's not a rework, but a straight mindless buff. No.

It's obviously not a rework just an idea to replace his invisibility mechanic. Also an ADC could negate this ability if it isn't timed right by killing all the clones with their attack speed.

How am I misinforming my readers this isn't a full rework just an idea that I think should be PART of his rework. Notice how I didn't title it as if it was a full rework rather its a bunch of ideas. Read the title next time.

Rework & Buffs are two different meaning. Doesn't matter if it's "full" or not.

Your W is literally straight up adding a bunch of numbers for no reason, and your Q is an even more toxic point & click at a safe range. What's more questionable is why would he need a ranged Q when he has 8 clones to "confuse" enemies with.

Those look like buffs to me, not a rework at all. It didn't solved any of his problems at all.

"Q is an even more toxic point & click at a safe range", uhhh if you read my post you'd see I said it'd be a long range skillshot. These clones die from 1 auto but you're right 8 is too much something like 5 when maxed would be better. THe point is they're so easily killed and are meant to be used as utility. Runaans would be super effective against them. I think the ideas I proposed increase Wukong's skill expression and make him more of a trickster.

A long ranged skillshot that passes through minions. That's what makes it toxic.

I admit that I didn't read the "hit it one time to kill it" part, mb. Secondly, spawning multiple clones means it should not be dealing multiplied damage & should be sticked to one clone damage. Third, there's no way of "deceiving" your opponent when they just spawned next to you without the invisibility part.

So Jarvan Q is toxic? Xerath Q is toxic? How many abilities do you consider toxic?

What I imagine for the clones is for like a tenth of a second you aren't on the map like Shaco R and you respawn in a random position within a group of clones. The clones would move with you. Also these clones are purely utility not damage based.

Huh, if you think about it, your Q idea is literally a straight up copy of Jarvan's Q. Both deals damage in a skillshot & reduces Armor. You might want to rethink that....

Xerath's Q literally has a delay. It gives people time to react to where they would want to sidestep.

I didn't come up with any effects yet like reducing armor but yes it would be similar to J4 Q. This is just me brainstorming but maybe it could slow the enemy hit so he could have a way to counteract being kited.

It was very misleading, if you're talking only a small change, state it in the title. "Rework" entitles what it means, rework... If you're only changing an ability/passive or something then state it's a passive rework. Because frankly, everyone is reading it as a full rework REGARDLESS if you mention full. We don't know you're only reworking one thing.

IF you read my post you'd see I proposed 3 changes. That's my my title is plural and shows that this post isn't meant to be a definite rework but rather a set of IDEAS for the rework.

IF you knew how to write a non-missleading title, I would have known it was ONLY three small but totally big changes to Wu's kit... 3 changes? You're asking to rework him entirely and base him off the ability to act like Naruto and have multiple clones...

I am sorry but I don't think I am the one who can't read... nor have a compelling ONLY 3 CHANGES to Wu's kit.

You should stop while you're ahead, there is a reason you're not a designer.
