Can someone tell me how autofill is good for the game?

Hm.. first dude mains mid but... he is my jungler xd Second guy, Katarina one trick. Alright, guess he is gonna play mid or maybe top right? Nah he is your adc LUL have fun. And Then theres a jungle main but.. guess what? He is my support hehe xd

Like obviously I have to dodge that game because Im not gonna risk playing with an autofilled jungler and adc, probably the 2 most important roles right now in soloq.. Its so sad honestly.

how is that a kat one trick? just cause people have a favourite champ doesnt make them a one trick..

200+ games on one champ, less than 30 on others.. I consider that basically a one trick.

ill give you that...

however autofill isnt new ... it existed in the old pick order system it wasnt called auto filled and you didnt know what role you be stuck with...

the last two picks on 1 team were typically forced to fill roles and the last pick on the other team was most of the time it was having to be jungle and support this is before the glory days of jungling as we now know

i get it people are playing at roles or champs they arent best at...and yes it can put you at a disadvantage in that game... but over all as more people are exposed to more roles, champs, match ups, team comps etc it will improve the knowledge and game base of all players. that is the big picture

and i have always thought 1 tricking was bad in general... i remember when i 1st started to play this game you were advised and told to be able to play at least 2 champs in each role so if you are forced to fill or your main gets banned you can be good on other champs

when did this mindset go away ?

Well women not being allowed to vote was also a thing. If people made a new system back then that still didnt allow them to vote, it wouldnt be fine either just because thats how its always been before.

Its just so annoying, either you stomp because they get autofilled people that cant play their role or vice versa. And people wonder why so many games are stomps, when I see my adc is autofilled and isnt playing well, I know we already lost at minute 8 lol.

Also I can play every role, but I cant do anything about my team that cant.

like i said you are seeing the small picture not the big picture how in time by having autofill people will learn more about the game and everything it entails... i think a silver player who can play all 5 roles at the same level is just as skilled as a diamond 5 one trick who cant play anything but katarina (for example) maybe that silver player isnt as good on one champ... but their knowledge and game skill over all is better

auto filled jungler = insta dodge or loss, and yeah auto fill is annoying specially when it happens to roles that literally decide the game in the first 15 minutes.

Like if you have one + the other team doesnt every single lane is going to lose in 10 minutes and you'll be at your base while your auto filled lee is powerfarming 0-1-0.
