Nerf Smite's early heal. Have the FIRST Honeyfruits spawn earlier inside the Dragon/Baron pit.

People complain that most Junglers have too much Health when they show up for their first 3 minute gank, and that they're around all the time. Nerfing Smite's early heal will fix that and Riot can buff up truly weak Junglers to keep up. This nerfs Junglers as a whole and lessens the disparity between them. There are more problematic Junglers than there are weak ones after all, so something like this is both easier and healthier for the class.

That still doesn't solve the issue of Junglers showing up all the time though, so Junglers who want the security of healing can have the option to get the Honeyfruit from inside the Baron/Dragon pits. It would be in the middle right next to the wall behind them. The cost is that this takes away time during which the Junglers aren't pressuring an enemy (Blast Cone's spawn time will be delayed soon so they can't just hop over the wall to take it), that they might have to contest it, and that there's the risk of them being boxed in with no escape. Because of Honeyfruit's respawn time, it will also delay the second or third Honeyfruit from spawning as soon inside the river.

Junglers might also opt for an earlier Dragon attempt because they can take the Honeyfruit in his pit to heal up (assuming they go back beforehand, because with the Honeyfruit they'll only have as much Health as they have now). This is something Riot has said they want to encourage. And again, if they're busy fighting over Dragon they won't be pressuring lanes.

Ranged Supports or Marksmen can prevent this by warding over the wall to attack the Honeyfruit but have to sacrifice a ward or vision spell to do so.

Overall, these two changes relieve the amount of early pressure and stability Junglers have and create more interesting Gameplay options and patterns.

Plus, it would be really cool to see Dragon guarding his Honeyfruit.

heal on smite is definitely part of early game jungling issues involving early lane pressure. But most times when a jungler wants to gank, he already has a red buff AND is camping somewhere nearby as the red buff HP regen is ticking in. I am not really sure if smite heal nerf will actually do much in this case.

Having fruits inside dragon pit sounds interesting. It definitely makes it risky to go for plants, but the amount of risk a mobile jungler takes is significantly less than immobile junglers; it might backfire by making fewer champions a viable jungler. If there can be a way to mitigate the risk difference, I would personally like it.

We'll only know for sure if Riot chooses to test anything like this.

I agree. There's also the issue of red side blue, blue side differences and ranged Junglers denying the Honeyfruit over walls. Maybe if the Honeyfruit were in the middle of a side-wall, it would go a ways to mitigating all three of those issues? Supports can still walk there to deny them, but no one can do it over walls. Immobile Junglers spend less time walking there, so that lessens the advantage mobile Junglers gain in comparison. And because of that small ledge denying vision, both sides have to walk into the pit to attack the plant.
