Does mid always pick first?

Maybe it's just the worst luck in the world, but I ALWAYS seem to get first pick as a mid laner. It sucks cause it just feels like league of counter picks at this point. I wish there was a stat to show you guys so you know I'm not exaggerating. It's extremely frustrating how this happens all the time. Any way to break it up or is it just a shitty system?

It happens to me a lot too. First pick lux, get raped by yasuo /zed/lb/kata/fizz. Next game I'm placed support:last pick so enemies can steal my lulu... Soo annoying
