Hey Meddler, can we have a chat about Karma?

Do YOU think there could be room for Karma to be improved (not buffed, but improved) ?

To get another red response in a Karma thread in the same week is hugely ambitious, he won't answer this lol. But yeah, he already that shes bland at the moment and needs some work. Though, all they need to do is give her back her shield bomb until they're ready to do said work, then the Karma threads will chill for a bit.

Hold the phony phone, mister!! There was a red response in a Karma thread? What did I miss? Lnks pls!

EDIT: Nevermind, I found it. The one day I don't check on every Karma thread and this happens. Of course.

Lool I was wondering why you hadn't commented in that thread, I kept checking the thread to see if you got onto Meddler's comment xD. He didn't say anything we didn't already know though, and I've been looking at all the red posts of Karma's gameplay threads in the last year, it seems like most people want an ally tether function and shield bomb... don't know what riot is waiting for tbh.

Well it's already too long ago, I doubt he will answer a third time. I did post below it tho. Never give up.

Interestingly I agree with nearly everything he said, but in the light of what he laid out, 5.10 still makes no sense. If they agree that she became bland in 3.5, why make her even more bland in 5.10?

Seriously, giving the tether an ally function would have done EVERYTHING they wanted to do

  • Increase decision making
  • Boost her support powers
  • Please old Karma fans.

To think how bland these changes must be to make people miss pre 5.10 Karma... it's crazy. I can't even take the people I've seen saying they like current Karma better than pre 5.10 seriously. All this "Karma has never been this strong before" talk, as if it's not Luden's, thunder lords and the Liandry's buff making her stronger. In the end though, I'm pretty sure the majority of Karma's player base would be all for what you just listed, anyone who isn't should find a new champ, period.

Shield bomb should come back but it needs to be a much smaller radius to make it not broken with her passive and with the smaller radius MAYBE let it have a knock back and then it will feel meaingful even when not maxing E first. Right now atleast in my opinon mantra E feels really weak until Karma has levels in it and a good amount of ap. Her shield needs an offensive component even without mantraing and she would be ok for right now until reworking her in some way.

It wouldn't even need a smaller radius, that's the thing.

I think it would. Karma would be broken with j4 because Karma could potentially get a 5 man mantra E off with j4 ulti and then mantra q would be up instantly because of passive. At least in my opinion, maybe I'm wrong. Maybe that should be a reward for getting that many people hit with the shield.

I'd assume if they brought back the shield bomb they'd revert the passive buff they gave her to compensate it's removal. That snooze fest of a passive that should be on her ult.

that knockback idea is a really good idea

I believe he said that Karma could be improved later on but like way later on if they even do want to work on her. Because she's nowhere as near as bad as some of the champions they need to work on currently and in the future.

He did say that Karma's rework wasn't that successful, because while it did solve some things, it created other problems for her.

Personally, I hope if they ever look at reworked champions again, that she's one of the first. Her rework by far feels like it was the one that had the least effort put in it. Which is acceptable to a certain degree because the champion upgrade department has grown a lot since then.

Another thing to take into consideration, is that she is probably the hardest champion to rework/to even talk about in my opinion. While her community is small, it's so split that no matter what you do a good amount of people are going to hate what you change about her.

Just wanna point out that when they talked about reworks, Ryze is way out there compared to Karma :x.

If you mean he's harder to rework than her, in a sense he is, but he's hard to rework because of his core identity.

Karma's harder to rework because it's almost impossible to please most of her community.

let her heal allies with w and make the root instant (but lower its duration)
