While the Karma changes were being tested, there was a bug that allowed her passive to proc on jungle monsters through W on the PBE. It significantly helped with her clear, and if it were to be fully implemented on large monsters she'd be able to have a pretty decent first run. Farther down the line, she runs into a few mana problems, but then again, that's pretty much par for the course for any AP jungler.
I really hope Riot does more to better integrate mages into the jungle. We recently had a massive update that finally put tanks back on the map (literally, with all the tank junglers on Summoner's Rift), and right now, although some roles could do with some love (autoattackers and marksmen aren't really in the best jungling spot), mages and supports are the only two roles where only a handful can survive the jungle at all, let alone do well as junglers. and many more have the potential to be phenomenal junglers, but either run out of mana or die (or both) before they can clear successfully. Tweaking them and jungle itemization/monster buffs a bit to give them an easier time would add even more diversity to the jungle, and would open up avenues for every role in the game to jungle in their own way.
