Bit confused on caits strongest point in the game.

Is she late game now or early? I re member her having early game dominance way back in the day and early last year. Shee's always been know for that. The i started seeing caitlyns dealing damage you would expect from jinx, vayne late game? Oh okay they must be fed I'd think, but that wouldnt always be the case. At times she would basically two shot someone on an equal ground as her (roughly ame amount of gold/cs/items and maybe class) with her traps. They would do that thing where they put the trap in front of you, e, and then headshot you for half your health.

Isnt she supposed to fall off late game? If she's strong at every point in the game (or late and early) I'm probably just going to start banning her because i see her literally every game and that gets annoying with any champion.

TL;DR: Just kind of lost on why she's considered strong (51-52% winrate right now) and what her strongest point in the game is supposed to be...? Frankly i've been seeing a mix of draven/vayne at late early just not as strong. Tried playing bot and got completely overwhelmed by her early game, I could fight her later on but If i made a single mistake or especially stepped on a trap i might as well bm my mastery and recall while she kills me.
