Solo V Multi is not about which mode is better, recognize that they are different!
And not in a "I'm a lone wolf, I must do this alone for my family's honor", they are literally two different games and Summoners Rift has never done solo play justice. You pray for non-bullshit team mates and now you pray for non-bullshit match making, it's the same bullshit, going back to solo Q solves nothing.
Solo team player has several issues that can NEVER be fixed:
- 1-4 don't know how to play at your bracket
- 1-4 don't know how to co-operate
- 1-4 don't know how to communicate
- 1-4 don't know how to keep their fucking cool
- 1-4 are trolls
So what if you can do those points flawlessly, how many of your team mates can?

So Riot doesn't actually have a choice about Solo play in a Group setting, if a solo Q kind of thing returns it's not going to be 5 humans vs 5 humans, it will be 1 filthy human vs another filthy human possibly with or without robot overlords.
Will Summoners Rift be its map? Who the fuck knows, but until then understand a solo player game does not work with multiplayer rules.
