Damn. I used to main that wench but now I don't wanna even touch that champ cus of that. I don't wanna say it's because of the Spear because it still feels too expensive to my tastes. The main reason is the new conq changes. It gave her a means of sustain in lane which kinda nullifies Riven's weakness.
Riven also receiving indirect but significant nerfs due to Conq nerfs?

just remove her animation cancelling and buff her in return, riven must be the only champion from the top of my head where you never know if you will be able to dodge her abilities or not because you either play against a riven that doesn't animation cancel giving you some reaction time to dodge some stuff or a riven who does animation cancel and just dumps her entire kit on you in half a second leaving you frustrated
Huge Conqueror nerf coming in 9.5, should help put her back down a few pegs. Overall she'll be dealing less damage than with old conq (especially to armored targets), have a harder time stacking it up, with just a little bit of added healing.

Riot released something about her, that unlike many other champions with high play rate, almost all her player have over 100 recent games on her. That was when she had 16% play rate with 51% win rate.
So if her play rate got to 10%, losing amount, it is obvious that her win rate would go up as well.
So far from what we know, she is unique in that aspect, and thus it makes a lot of sense about her win rate being high.
Now, is she too strong right now? Hard to say as only Riot has that data, we can't say because of the above mentioned information.
Must be nice to main a popular, flashy champ like Riven. Riot will come with all kinds of excuses to not nerf her and will never gut her no matter how well she performs.

Riven is fun to play, never fun to play against. Riot doesn't want to nerf her because turning her into an honest champion would destroy her rabid fanbase.
I've been running Electrocute and Sudden Impact on her and found better success than I did when I ran the old Conq rune. Is it worth it to run the new Conq now?
