With the new Black Cleaver changes and the buff to Ad bruisers

only if we get a lvl 1 mr option that can keep up with cloth + 5 pots.

otherwise ap champs or bruisers are going into lane with enough of an advantage as is.

a buff to ap bruisers doesn't have to do anything with their early game. Adcs aren't op because of their early game. from level 1-3 i'm just as scared of their support. its when the adc complete IE, a 3800 gold item that i get scared. I'm not scared of ap bruisers because they have no way do deal any reliable micro burst, and for the most part have little sustain. I also feel like they are lacking in magic pen options, champions like wukong, xin zhao have armor pen in their kit. irelia has true damage so does olaf. I havent looked into it but which ap bruisers also have that in their kit? well thought about it. there is chogath ult which is really nice, morde did get a buff, and a few have %hp like singe just received on his throw. Not to mention ryze can be a stronger ap bruiser(although with the changes i think he's because more like vlad a high dps mage with significant sustain).

it depends on who youre lanign against.

compared to an adc and another support, adc arent op early game. put them 1v1 against a melee champ, and their early game can be quite op.

a buff to items like rod of ages might not affect an ap bruisers lvl 1-3. but it makes it more easy to snowball of an already existing advantage. especially considering, that its an item ap bruisers and lane tanks usually like to rush.

i didnt say it would be totally wrong to buff ap bruisers. but if that happens, i want an actual lvl 1 build that can keep up with cloth and 5 pots.

right now, going against a rumble, singed, vlad or whoever the heck into lane, my best option is to go longsword and 3 pots. which is incredibly risky and still puts me at a disadvantage in sustain. a doran shield or sword + 1 pot isnt even an option really.

I think since hes talking about buff in terms of items. i don't see how adding an item comparable to blackcleaver that takes 20 minutes to get changes anything than what your currently experiencing. the first 15 minutes will be unaffected by the addition of a full item. it might if they gave like a doran scepter with 4.5% spellvamp on it. Then ya it might call for a magic reduction doran shield of sorts. or maybe a temporary mini mr item that you could get refunded.

I mean AP have high burst damage when they scale. Most AP bruisers can 2 shot a squishy easily. I don't think there hurting much. Now for magic pen ahh idk i think the items are fare. One item reduces any enemy mr while increasing your own and giving you ap. one ignores a percentage of there mr. One even does dmg over time just for using a ability on them. I mean look at annie, and fizz alone. They make me hate having to play mid or at all some times.
