Akali's new dash is terrible

It goes way too far past the enemy. If the enemy is running toward you, you will not be able to hit them with anything when you pass them.

Why did they make it so bad? Did they test this one bit? Nothing is worse then diving on an adc, and ending somewhere in indianapolis.

I also feel like its a huge nerf to her laning since itll put her in the turrets aggro range

Kind of agreed :/ There are some things to like about it (if the target is running from you, you get really fluid mark procs) but there's a lot of trade-offs. It is horrible to dash past someone with them running in the opposite direction and end up basically needing to dash to get close to them after that because so much distance is created between you. Obviously she has another dash to follow up with in a lot of cases anyway but it feels terribly clunky.

And the thing about dashing under tower range is really true as well. You end up tower diving when you had no intention of doing it and Akali doesn't have an easy way to get away from the tower like other assassins.

They made it this way to stay in range of someone running away from you.

its funny how they can code fizz's dash to always make him attack range away from the enemy but for her, she just flies through like she is trying to dodge them

Dude, do not even dare to talk about Fizz because someone from Riot mains him and he will always be pain in the ass to deal with. You can play him AP and be annoying as hell or you can play him AD and still be relevant. That champion is abomination and I would really like to meet the person who made him so I can show him my middle finger :D

It is also way slower, unless my perception of is wrong. Anybody else see this?

Larger distance, same speed = longer completion time.

I agree, Riot please fix. It's horrible to work with, in my opinion it has more negatives than positives.

It makes procing her Q very difficult, and attacking somebody anywhere near a tower is a definite no no because you'll end up in tower range even though under normal circumstances you'd be out of range.

The only thing it's been good for so far is obviously the first intention:

  1. Chasing down enemies.
  2. Dashing to minions/enemies to get away. (It creates more distance)

But other than that in combat it's been more of a nuisance than anything.
