@Riot: When, oh when, is Warwick going to see a rework?
Warwick is one of those Champions who is both too binary and too boring, along with having extremely poor counterplay. If he wants to ult you, there's little you can do to stop him from landing it. You CAN QSS out of it, but that's what Riot calls "bad counterplay" as there's no skill involved. You just hit that button when he ults you and you get free of the suppression effect.
As for fighting Warwick, it pretty much boils down to a cockfight. He just keeps hitting you until you're dead or he's dead, his Q is direct-target so it can't miss, and you don't do anything to really outplay him; you just have to be stronger than him or he wins. BORING.
I don't remember who on the Riot team was behind the WW rework, but I've heard that the project was scrapped due to job shifts. Sounds like poor planning to me. Meanwhile, he's left in his usual borderline toxic state, unable to be used competitively, but being a real painintheass in pubs.
Whoever is now on the Champion Rework team, get to work on our resident werewolf!

and Ekko). The idea behind his rework was to a) make Warwick a proper drain tank, i.e. a champion whose resilience came from their ability to sustain themselves over time, b) give him much more useful basic abilities, including more crowd control, and c) tone down the reliability on his kit, especially his ult, so that he could be outplayed at all times. The kit he proposed looked awesome, though there was also a potential issue with drain tanking that Xypherous discussed alongside him (drain tanking, when done wrong, means drain tanks can become overly binary, so either too weak to tank properly or unkillable, especially if they have a lot of health as well). Hopefully, Warwick's final rework will keep a lot from that kit.
