@Riot:warwick rework completely outclasses aatrox in every way shape and form, can aatrox get love?

I seriously can't think of a build or role that AAtrox can play that the new warwick can't, I hate to say it because i love aatrox... but i dont think i can see a single reason to play him over warwick anymore.

is it time for the aatrox rework?

Aatrox has needed a rework since his release lol...

I think he just came out too late for his kit, things were already headed for mobility by that time.

He just either needs more mobility.. or maybe his ult should be on his passive and just cram a new ult in.

No, his kit is already retarded. He was brokenly OP for a while because his chasing, snowballing, sustain, and tower diving is insanely strong. If Riot doesn't keep his stats way low to the point where he's underpowered, he becomes a snowballing monstrosity and ruins games.

Whatever it is I want meddler to post on this, cause we're getting reworks of champs that are still viable, now irelia has been confirmed? she's fine and has a good main base.. but Aatrox is being left in the yorick zone

Aatrox won't get any changes unless he has a game changing bug (like hsi jump making him disappear for enemies and slowly float down so can't hit him but he can hit you) or some other change unexpectedly makes him decent. Pretty sure every new additional item / mastery is reviewed heavily to make sure Aatrox won't return.

I mean, Warwick isn't the only one to outclass aatrox in every way, shape and form.

I mean you could make the argument that graves does it with a single lifesteal item... or... fuck it i could be a better sustain tank on orianna... dive better too

Well Aatrox sure need some love I guess. Though tbh I think he'd be in a wayyy better spot with a small buff to his base stats. Like +10/15 health per level could do a pretty great deal. He'd still be a gimmicky champion very kiteable but at least maybe he could feel more comfortable building damage/resists. Base stats are underrated it'd help him tremendously.

Jax has outclassed Aatrox since forever lol

Aatrox gets the same treatment like Azir and Kalista right now. He is kept weak intentionally, since the design of his kit itself is inherently broken. He is not balancable with his current kit, since he is the strongest incarnation of a drain tank Riot ever created.

That mechanic is pretty difficult to balance, they were worried about Warwick since his theme of being a drain tank should stay too. They added clear windows of power, since Warwick is just healing himself if he is under 50% health. That way you get a time window to burst and ignite him.

Aatrox on the other hand is able to heal himself permanently, additionally to every life steal he is buying. That is the big problem. So just like Azir and Kalista, he has to get a rework before they are able to balance him to be viable. Unfortunately it will take some time til these reworks are going to come. We have to be patient.

ok but they're putting massive effort into reworking already viable abeit niche champs, and still keeping three champs unplayable intentionally.

True, but they will have their reasons why they made the schedule the way it is. I could imagine that it has to do with their release. Look at the newest reworks: Yorick and Warwick. Both champions were actually pretty old and had extremely outdated kits.

Azir, Kalista and Aatrox are inherently broken... but not outdated. Their kits are pretty modern, since they are not that old. So maybe that is the reason why they got a place later in the schedule. Maybe it has more priority for outdated kits to get reworked to match the actual state of the game.

I understand that it is frustrating. I actually love Kalista as a character. So I want her rework as soon as possible, because I want her to be a balanced champion in the game finally. But like I said.... unfortunately it will take time and we have to wait for this day to come....
