damage mitigated would be nice too, to see how durable you were as a tank

that math on that would be a massive pain in the ass

Damage you would have taken - damage taken = damage not taken

Damage you would have taken

define this with every kind of damage stat, slow, and debuff in the game

Depending how Riot has coded "damage" this can actually be an insanely trivial thing to add considering everything else their dev team has managed to code thus far.

With every single spell that deals damage in the entire game, at the instant of actually taking the damage, you have two individual numbers. You have the total damage the ability would deal to a target at 0 resistance (i.e. Brand's Q would deal 240+65% AP damage upon impact), and how much damage you took (i.e. you have 30 MR, so you take 184.6 + 50% AP damage).

Regardless of how the damage is dealt, it's always individually registered; even DoTs are dealt in "ticks" or individual instances per second, half-second or quarter-second.

so attack speed slows don't count as damage mitigation? and damage reduction applied from other friendly champions counts as if it was your own damage reduction instead of their's?

Attack speed slows would actually be recorded more accurately in this system than in any system that tried to use math to estimate attack speed DPS reduction. This is because if an enemy champion does not hit you, it will not register damage. An attack speed reduction estimation would also produce misleading data, for example, if you apply 99% attack speed slows on all the enemy champions, but all the enemy champions are casters, it doesn't affect their total damage output on you in any way, so it doesn't make sense to say you provided damage mitigation in that case.

Personally, I don't see any problems with the 2nd point either - in similar logic to my first point, mitigation provided by allies increased your real, actual, gameplay-related mitigation, so it makes sense to record the mitigation there.

Not really. Mitigation implies that they hit you, and you resisted some of it. An attack speed slow directly prevents them from attacking as frequently. If we were going to count AS slows, we'd also (logically) need to consider Silences in the same way, and that gets too theoretical.

and damage reduction applied from other friendly champions counts as if it was your own damage reduction instead of their's?

It would be less difficult to register that way. They applied it to you, so you 'borrowed' it. I'm sure, if they wanted, Riot could implement an algorithm specifically to calculate personal and allied DR separately, but the two main champions who would care are Kayle and Galio.

Smite (the game, not the summoner spell) already has it, the math is really not that hard. In fact, it should be as simple as (Incoming Damage - Damage Dealt). Done.

But yeah, I'm not sure Riot's engineers can handle that at this point.

Tanks don't matter to Riot.

I would also like to see damage done to enemy buildings to know who was focusing turrets. Maybe our jungler was 0-4-2, but if they did a significant amount of damage to turrets then they were useful overall.

Karma, Lulu, and Janna players would like this. (Especially Karma. Team shields for days)

I thought u want to cleect data about how many times u dodge jayce and nidalee 's poke. LOL

Or a damage mitigated graph. If you're playing a tank with very high resists you might actually take less actual damage than someone who just trades in lane a lot and heals back up. It would make tanks feel better for surviving 5 man clusters in teamfights.

i would like an assist map more

How would you even try to include damage not taken because you dodged a skillshot? Not to mention, the effect Penetration would have on your outcomes.

attack speed slows are attack speed mitigation not damage mitigation its simply a difference in terminology because resistances reduce damage taken thus mitigating damage. I hope that this helped with clarification. :D

I would be happy if they just fixed the damn death recap. It has been broken since season 3.

Yes, I would like everyone to see the fact that Orianna, Lux, Lulu, etc, blocked more dmg than they took and dealt, so they can actually nerf shields to make the game playable for assassins again.
