Frost Queen's Claim needs a tiny bit more appeal. Too many players aren't finishing it.

I see a lot of players simply stopping at Frostfang and not bothering with FQC, since FQC doesn't give any additional income and the active effect is very situational.

Could FQC give a tiny bit more income to make it worthwhile to finish? Something like 12-15 per stack? Or maybe it could give more mana regeneration?

don't know what to say. it actually got it's Gold Gen nerfed, because it was crowding out other supports. I some how can't Imagine it would be getting it's gold back.

The big problem with Frost Queen is that it's up grades don't really help you be a better support. It's a lot of the time not worth to get the first upgrade when you can get an Early sight stone, mobi boots, or mana regen and CDR.

The only time I do upgrade this Item is if I want to translate into an APC from a support. And this is some what rare.

I guess income increase would be imbalanced, so how about 100% extra base mana regen instead of 50%?

A bit unlikely due to the MP5 on Talisman. Riot would not want to crowd that item out.

If anything, it should benefit a Damage support. Either a little bit more AP or some Magic pen.

The thing is it wasn't crowding out other support items. Morgana's interaction with it was crowding out other support items. They need to make the item not trigger off of DOTs so they can increase the gold gain for champs who aren't Morgana.

Don't think I've ever finished that item actually. Sometimes I don't even get the 1st upgrade because I know I'll need to sell it later.

I remember one suggestion, procing the passive would restore a little mana.

That's handier on Spellthief's Edge than on FQC. By the time you fully upgrade, you should have at least one other mana regen item.

It's supposed to be an aggressive item. Keep the gold gen where it is, but make the extra magic damage improve significantly either by increasing the amount, removing the cooldown on the bonus damage, or both.

I actualy already deal some good damage. It scales both with champion level as with magic penetration. It's a nasty item if you ask me. It litterly can become a AOE DFG is the right situations.

What I would do is buffing the base value while lowering the scaling:

dealing 50 (+5 per level) magic damage => 135 on level 18 NEW: dealing 84 (+3 per level) magic damage => 135 on level 18

I think you misunderstood a bit.

What I'm suggesting is that FQC gets something like:

UNIQUE passive: Your spells and basic attacks against champions and structures deal (amount) bonus magic damage.

That would be in addition to what it does already, making for a pretty potent source of additional damage.

Certain Champions could abuse this if it's not limited to charges. Malzahar, Cassiopeia, and Brand come to mind.

But yes, improving the damage done by the Spellthief charges would be a good way to buff FQC.

I agree. Even offensive supports tend to sell Frostfang and get Talisman. If they don't they sell it for a bigger AP item.

What if you gave it an ap ratio on the active effect?

darkdill2 votes

Probably exploitable by mages then.

At teh same time, it's not like a mage will want to take the dagger in lane. It'S still lategame item... wait, it's be a second lich bane. Never mind, time to go to bed.

I usually finish mine, but if I don't I have forgotten and already moved onto completing my other items.

Maybe they could have it boost a targeted ally's damage by 10% for 3 seconds or something? Wouldn't be able to use on the caster to help prevent mage abuse.

Since they nerfed ff and fqc I don't even upgrade spelltheif.

just treat it like a doran's ring, hold on to that sucker long as you can then sell it when you have to.

I never finish it because I don't simply like it and I prefer to replace it with something better during the game. The extra income is good during the early and mid phase, but I need that extra slot for better. =x The slow is nice in some situations, but there is just better replacements down the line.

Is the active really that bad? It's always seemed incredibly useful to me. The duration is short, but the slow is massive, and it has a pretty good area of effect. I don't play support all that often, but I'm usually pretty happy to upgrade this item when I do. More CC is always nice on a support.

The active needs to be fixed, it was lame compared to what it used to do. aoe slow on ally or superfast slow missle.
