Support shouldn't get autofill protection anymore. Bot laners should.
Support is arguably the best role and certainly more popular than bot is right now. Why don't roles like bot get protection now, when no one wants to actually play it?

I've queued straight fill the last couple of games. I've been getting exclusively bot and JG. With how awful marksmen are right now, supports have unquestionably more control over the game. Riot has made efforts to make support more appealing to people and I believe they've accomplished that goal, therefore, I don't believe it's necessary to give them autofill protection anymore.

Not true. I have been filling more as the bot lane carry than support. I actively have to pick the role
