Nexus Blitz Feedback
So I just played the new experimental mode...
Here are just a couple thoughts.
-
Loading into the game, the backsplash of the loading screen was unique and I prefer that over the normal Rift screen, but who doesn't? XD
-
From the second I spawned in, the whole game crahed until about 10 seconds in. I understand this is a pre-alpha concept of the mode, so this one slides by my radar with ease.
-
Throughout the mode, the design concept is cool, but for this one in particular there should be notifications on the side like in Beginner Bots vs AI to show you through the mode for the first time. It was a little confusing for me at the start until about 5ish minutes in, and then the game was over since we had no idea what we were doing. Again, this one is easily solved by just playing the mode more than once.

Lag. Everywhere. This one drived me bonkers. I was Heimerdinger for my game and I couldn't place a turret or throw a bomb without my pc freezing for a good second and my FPS dropped to 15; that wouldn't be a problem except that I am used to playing on 100+ FPS. I'm pretty sure this one will be fixed with time due to it still being an Alpha version.

I love how the old items are implemented in this mode. eg Force of Nature, the cousin of Warmog's Armor and Thornmail. It's a cool design that I feel will bring certain players to this mode more often than others. Nostalgia = OP win for me, but then again I'm biased xD

EVENTS. The only event I had in my game was "Attack the Loot Teemo for goodies" in a sense. It was a fun twist that wasn't just a "bolt to the nexus" kind of thing. It makes me want to play more, so props to you for that. The rewards for killing Loot Teemo were also interesting, as it gave the enemy team a Guardian Angel for 90 seconds.
-
A few bugs that I found were as follows. a.) When Loot Teemo was destroyed it said "Blue team has killed Loot Teemo." We played as the blue team, and the text should have read that the Red team defeated him, as we did not get the 90 second buff. b.) I did not target the neutral Blue buff that spawned next to the lane I was in, and it still followed me and attacked me and my turrets. c.) A few bugs with the neutral monsters as they caused FPS drops and would sometimes attack me unprovoked.

That surrender@9 minutes though.. I like how this is a fast paced mode and you can surrender when you want if it seems like you don't have the team-comp or it's just that kind of game...
EDIT: 9. The camera seems to act up, or it isn't the same settings as other modes, as it seems to be a little zoomed in even when it is completely zoomed out.
That about sums up my first time through. I will edit and post a few more findings if there is anything different :D
Well played, Riot. Well played. [slayer-pantheon-thumbs]
