ADC's building Targon's for a big shield.
Not like they had enough shields to begin with. Thanks for getting another item nerfed in the future, AD's.

They build relic to get ardent for their support faster, if they upgrade it past that they might as well be inting with how far they'd be behind in damage.
If you are going to complain at least complain about the right thing.
If the enemy is a longsword and dorans blade up in lane you lose any trades in lane. Not to mention you'll eventually sell it to make space for more damage.
The literal reason is to supply gold to ardent supports, it isn't for the shield passive. The shield is tiny in this high-damage meta with ADCs melting real tanks in a matter of seconds.
They don't build it for the shield. That's a total of 850 gold (HAS to be Targon's Brace, not Relic Shield), for no damage, and a shield that honestly won't be that great on them.
They buy Relic Shield for the sole purpose of getting more gold to the support.
ADCs build Targon? Since when? The new thing is first buy relic and selling it eventually.
Here's hoping that Riot makes the shield, both from Face of the Mountain and from quest completion, to scale off of bonus health instead of total health, so that champions who build no health (apart from the health that the item innately has) get no benefit whatsoever.
