Mordekaiser suggestion: Becoming ghost in death
Note: this is a translation from a spanish forum made by myself, so my english could not be perfect. Anyway, hope you enjoy.
I have been a main Mordekaiser for quite a while and the issue I came to debate is an idea that i had because of my experience with the champion and his lore. I'm talking about a change in its gameplay that I think it could come in very well overall (right now it's the 4th less played champion). The reason why Mordekaiser is so unpopular is simple: he is a champion who can´t avoid pushing like crazy: the fact of trying to trade requires the W and the E to do it effectively and that you want or do not push the lane automatically. This makes him very vulnerable to ganks, especially in early game when its weaker.
What I usually do is to push everything I can and keep the enemy jungle warded (I'm getting sidetracked looking at both the map and the lane :P) and the moment it comes to me, try to trade with both Opponents in such a way that i could kill them or at least one. Those who play this champion know that morde is capable of this as well as darius if you use it as you should, but** you can also go wrong and get killed.**
The "great" advantage of the champion is the drake: take it through the rift and have a very powerful portable siege machine and you can even decide games ... but let's be serious: it is an advantage that you** do not always have access to**; you must be in the zone of the drake and your team must be able to provide it to you. And the most important thing: many times you have access to it, even if you tell,** your team does it without you**, while you are 10 meters from him walking through the jungle. It only serves to piss you off and throw games stupidly and it's happened to me countless times.
Many people have asked this to be changed so that morde do not push so exaggeratedly without wanting to, but what I come to suggest is very different: I am talking about a tool for the champion that allows him to play aggressively and push, because its his essence, and at the same time allow him not to be free gold for the rival jungle ... but remain an easy target and tread carefully if you are being camped. How is this? Here's my** idea**:
Im talking about a** passive that makes morde do not count as kill** at that time he dies, but become a ghost, something like karthus, be intangible and invisible to the enemy team for a few seconds and can not attack in any way, Just move, and after a short period of time, resurrect in the location where the ghost is at that time with a very** low amount of health and no shield **(and maybe silenced for a few seconds). This ability would have a relatively high CD, of maybe 5 minutes or more so that it is not abused, and in this way you could play aggressive without having to be a walking target on your line. In case they "kill" you, then should play more carefully for a while to avoid a real death.
This idea has occurred to me thinking of the current lore of morde. it puts that our favourite lich has died several times, but has always been resurrected using his human bones and necromancy, always laughing before dying to know that his death was not going to be definitive (until his skull was stolen and he f*cked up). This passive would very well shape the current lore and is something that would certainly help make it more popular (and useful). I've also been inspired in a way by the skeleton king of Heroes of the storm, although his mechanics are a bit different. What do you think, would be too broken, would not serve anything or if it would be useful? I wait for answers! Greetings!
