Lets face it: our favourite master of metal is obsolete. The game has been changing its design direction to abilities with sinergies and combos, and passives wich determines the champion´s main mechanic and at the same time demands interaction from the player. Mordekaiser´s only ability that acomplish this in a way is his W, and only in a part. His passive has basically no mechanics appart of just dealing damage, and he has no real combos between his other abilities. There is another problem: Modern champions usually have one "unique power" wich resumes their identity, even if its combined with other little things. Yasuo´s wind, Yorick´s necromancy, Irelia´s floating knifes or zed´s shadows are some examples. Looking at Morde , what does he have? He is at the same time: an iron revenant, and immortal king from ancient times, a necromancer, a dragon enslaver (lol), a spirit wich absorbs life, a giant metal man with a heavy mace, and also he has the powers of a certain mutant character of comics. He is basically overloaded as hell. upon imaginating a rework, i decided the best option was to just "give up" some of this things, or make them go to a secondary role, while getting one of this themes as the main. And what is this main theme of our friend ? for me its clear: He is the master of metal. He uses magnetinsm to control metal, wear an extremely heavy armor and mace with no effort and use his weapon like it was a stick when its actually a wrecking ball. Mordekaiser is a conqueror, an overlord master of metal and holder of forbidden dark magic. This is the thing i said when thinking about him.

The shadow isles theme should go to a secondary aspect of him, and this DOESNT mean he cant be a necromancer, but i seriously think his "metal" role should be more important. So after this, here is my personal rework of mordekaiser (look to the passive, you will love it) I have to tell you 4 things: 1: a lot of people like mordekaiser having no CC or movility. i also like this, but i decided to put some of it in the kit. Take it as a fan rework. 2: i also like bot lane mordekaiser BUT this rework is made thinking in his top aspect. Dont take it that seriously. 3: in this rework mordekaiser has no resources or HP costs, but also no heals. 4: im not saying anything about damage of abilities or their scaling, imagine them as hybrid scaling like the current morde.

Remember the names are just for fun.

Passive: Killing the dragon (album from Dio) -Mordekaiser curses the dragon when attacking him for 10 seconds. If the dragon gets killed by him or an ally when cursed, mordekaiser dissapears for a second and reappears on the dragon, mounting it for 45/60/75 seconds. While he is on the drake, he controls its movement,his health bar gets much bigger depending of the game minute and the autoattacks becomes magic damage, stronger and AoE. His other abilities still working but they have more range (except the ultimate). If the drake gets killed by enemies, mordekaiser appears in its location with 50% of his maximum HP (he lost the other half while being killed in the drake).

Q: Square hammer (song from ghost) CD: 9/8/7/6/5 seconds Its still an empowered autoatack, but now deals AoE damage. At activation, Mordekaiser gains 15% tenacity and attacks with his mace in a semicircle in cursor´s direction. At second activation, it is the same range and deals the same damage, gaining a total of 30% tenacity AND becoming grounded (inmune only to enemy knockups). In the third activation it smashes the ground, dealing double damage of the previous attacks and knocking up opponents in area resulting in stunning them for 0,5 seconds. one second later of third hit, he loses the effects of tenacity and grounding. The coldown is 1 second lower for enemy champion hitted with the third activation. Still can be dodged or blocked by other enemies abilities, even the knockup , but this doesnt stop the AoE damage for other objetives (and the cc) or the CD reduction.

W: Metal meltdown (song from judas priest) CD: 12/10,5/9/7,5/6 seconds Passive: indestructible (song from disturbed): damage dealt by this ability (and only by this ability) becomes a magnetic temporal shield based in mordekaiser´s maximum HP wich decays over time. Active: creates a metal storm around him (similar to the current version) wich damages enemies inside of it. 5 seconds after activation or when reactivated by the player in that period, it "explodes" dealing damage to all enemies in about 7 teemos of distance. All the damage dealt gets shield for the passive.

E: Let the thunder roar (song from Grim reaper) CD: 10/9/8/7/6 seconds Mordekaiser launches a shiny projectile (skillshot) that travels a maximum of about 10 teemos distance, and then "explodes" into a cone, similar to a little version of graves´ultimate. It can be recasted to make the projectile explode earlier. If the missile impacts with any entity (including minions) it explodes in that moment. Enemies hitted by the explosion or the proyectile get marked for 3 seconds. While marked, if they are very near to morde (and only then), he can recast the ability to slow them down at 40% for 2 seconds.

R: conquer or die (song, instrumental, from megadeth) CD: 130/110/90 seconds Mordekaiser marks a zone far from him ,about middle distance of the summoners rift as maximum, and creates a "shadow zone" on it in a large area, and a magnetic turrent going to that direction from mordekaiser´s ubication. When mordekaiser is in the turrent or the darkness zone, he gains bonus movespeed speed and his shield in W gets very upgraded, getting much more shield conversion and having a higher HP relation. However, if he goes out the dark zone or, while in the turrent he runs in the opposite direction of where it goes for more than 2 seconds (escaping of combat, basically), he loses this bonuses. He can recover them if enters the zone again and waits another 2 seconds. The zone lasts for 15 seconds. if some enemy is killed in the dark zone, they leave a soul on their corpse wich does nothing. Mordekaiser can get near to one (and only one) of the souls and click R on it to get the ghost of that champion as a companion for 45/60/75 seconds.

Wait what people actually like Mordekaiser having no mobility or CC? It's a horrible balancing issue and feels unsatisfying to play.

They need to scrap the Ghost Dragon concept. Hell, half his bugs are related to his Ghosts. They really should give him a different ultimate.
