Dodging Penalties
So my buddy finally reinstalled League onto his computer last night, while in champ select he hadn't realized it doesn't auto lock your chosen champ like the old champ select, so we dodged. Anyway getting back into lobby upon starting we noticed that we had a 10 minute wait time, a bit shocked considering he hasn't played since February we waited it out and kept playing. Today I was playing Solo norms and I accidentally chose Ekko thinking I was banning him, knowing I can't play Ekko I dodged the game and surprisingly I now have a 10 minute wait time. Has the punishment for first time dodgers changed to 10 minutes instead of 5? If so why? I understand dodging is annoying, but getting into a game and having ither the client crash or bad scheduling shouldn't be followed with a 10 minute wait immediately, before it progressed from 5 to 10 if you dodged frequently, why has that system changed?
To offer a suggestion, implement a 'strike system' players can see from whatever menu. Showing how many dodges you've done this week, the first being 5 mins, 2nd being 15 mins, and the 3rd being 30 mins, resetting every week. Those numbers might even be a bit dramatic but if you can physically show players how many dodges and what the upcoming punishment will be for the next dodge, you probably will have a lot less dodges.
