Nocturne top.

Lethal Tempo. Overheal. Blood line. Biscuits+Timewarp Tonic.

Start Corruption Potion. Flash/Ign or TP/Flash

Pros: God tier lane clear. God tier sustain. Very strong duelist. Very strong trades. Strong poke via Q and Umbrablades. Is generally always in a position to help your jungler, or collapse on mid. Hands down the best tower buster in the game(you are going to get alot of tower plates, and likely tower FB in almost every game you play) Impactful on other lanes. Builds Dusk Blade(vision denial is good).

Cons: Nearly impossible to freeze a lane. Mediocre gank escape tools, but manageable in most scenarios. *Its kind of rare to get caught in a gank, since you can Q+Umbrablade 1shot the wave, and then go wander off into river. Odds are youre going to encounter the jungler while your enemy laner is dealing with the lane u just hardshoved onto him. Allowing you time to skirmish with the jungler or just disengage the situation all together.

Build order.. If youre vs a health stacking Juggernaut(Like Darius) rush a BotrK, into a standard Lethality build. If youre vs just about anything else, go a standard lethality build. If youre vs something slippery, you may want to rush a BotrK to ensure your E tethers go off.

Who to ban? Fiora, Rumble, or Olaf are the only top laners that are potentially troublesome, but not neccisarily a guarenteed loss. Shen can be tough, but hes manageable. I ban Fiora, just because if she does get ahead of you, its not a fun time.

For a reference to how strong Nocturne is: He outright beats Renekton and Tryndamere.(Atleast in lane phase. Obviously as late game comes around, you cant just duel a Tryndamere, or duel a Renekton as an assassin.)

If youre going to downvote, provide a reason why. [slayer-jinx-catface]

Tryndmere, yes you fear his ult>Ult him when it expires. Renekton, harass him with Q+umbrablades, forcing him to use rage to heal off of minions. Force trades with him when he doesnt have full rage. When he does have full rage, use spellshield. Disengage with E if he uses his ult. Darius, just run at him like a spidermonkey, slap him around. You heal off of minions, he doesnt. Take that trade, everytime. Post 6, look to spell shield his ult. Darius is actually one of the easier matchups. Garen as well is extremely easy for Nocturne.

The thing about darius and nocturne is, nocturne surprising destroys darius in lane and gets ahead, but in any other scenario when darius has an equal build and level outside of early laning, including late game, darius absolutely destroys nocturne, no matter what runes or build he takes, as long as darius plays right. All he needs are ninja tabi, thornmail and or randuins, and maybe one more armor item such as deadmans. He'll normally also have spirit visage for healing and against the mages, but then he'll either have triforce or cleaver, and then steraks, and with that build he absolutely demolishes nocturne in a 1v1. The only thing noc can hope for is that he times the fear correctly and darius mistimes his E, in which case, nocturne can escape. Otherwise, no contest darius wins hands down everytime barring outside factors.

This is true. Nocturne wins the lane phase, but as the game progresses Darius will eventually counter Nocturne in the late game, since Juggernauts counter Assassins. Nocturne top isnt really about building to deal with late game top laners though, more about dealing with other roles, and leaving the Darius/Juggernauts to be dealt with by the ADC. Nocturne doesnt start losing to Darius until Darius has two completed items, usually around lvl 10-11. You can still 1v1 him if he has a Triforce+Tabis and you have a Botrk+boots+Serrated Dirk.

Oh for sure, I was merely referring to the overall 1v1 matchup, not the totality of teamcomps. In all truth, unless darius plays really safe, nocturne will demolish darius, get fed, and snowball. It's not a bad winning strategy by any means, because even in the 1v1, it will take darius a long time to catch up, and he will be useless during the usually strongest part of his game (early and mid).
