Repost: What I think about Yorick rework

Reposting in gameplay cause sounds a bit more fitting Made this when Surrender@20 first released the ability videos.

Yorick reminds me a tiny smidge bit on Zyra. I imagine his Q and E will have high damage ratios or base damage or strong utility with healing/slow respectively. This is because one of his skills is solely dedicated to crowd control similar to Zyra's W. I imagine his ultimate will have 2 ratios, one for the damage the Mist Maiden does herself which I imagine will be AP and one for when Yorick attacks the same target which I imagine will be AD. His Q will have an AD ratio and his E will have an AP ratio. Also it's hard to tell but it seems like his W is unaffected by minion damage so your team will have to group up to take down that wall. It also seems that his ultimate is uncontrollable by the way Riot described how you could splitpush with it but this is just an assumption that I kinda doubt. Like Zyra, Yorick will have to make sure he has a few graves on the ground during the game to make sure he can awaken up mist walkers. I imagine he will be an all around good champion for numerous team compositions, however will get countered if the enemy has a lot of AoE and or long range.

Once again making the comparison to Zyra... perhaps support could be a viable role, as I'm predicting high base damage on his abilities and he doesn't NEED to last hit to make graves, he also has strong crowd control with his W(I imagine it having a long cooldown) and engaging onto a Yorick sounds like a bad idea if he has ultimate and all that stuff up.

In the jungle he doesn't sound too great, in Rito's description Mistwalkers just go up the lane so I imagine if he is able to spawn them from jungle camps they will just run to nearest lane. However perhaps if he is able to mark jungle camps with E than he can be a good jungler. He also has his Q for sustain and auto attack reset I reckon. Hype!

For builds black cleaver sounds amazing for cdr to get more ghouls healing etc. But also it can apply the stacks really fast if you manage to get mist walkers onto a target. Spirit Visage sounds interesting as he will get increased healing from Q, and maybe buying a frozen mallet as he has low stickyness aside from his wall which is one time usage.

I'm really curious if he will have AP ratios.... cause I like being able to play champions in different ways sometimes!! (Excluding tank Ekko, that's kinda cancer...)

Edit: He only has AP on E kinda bummed but whatever

I don't know,

The fact that Riot is selling him as a Juggernaut, who requires set up on the field before reaching full strength, sounds likes he has more parallels with Illaoi. Only with less emphasis on zoning and more on split pushing.

I kinda doubt that he will have a place as Jungler or Support. If he requires his graves as setup, He won't be able to gank real well. and with that wall being the only utility, I doubt it will be that effective as a support pick. Most ADC's probably won't appreciate his ghouls messing with their CS, and his ult only amp's his damage, so it doesn't complement the ADC in any way.

I see him becoming potentially problematic at some ELOs. Cause they are putting excellent split push and siege potential on a Juggernaut. And Juggernauts are pretty hard to shut down by an individual. (and even by teams if they don't have a good tank shredder)

The reason he is strong because if the enemy decides to go onto you they screw up and you can pressure with Mist Walkers + Mourning Mist However I imagine poke supports (Soraka, Nami etc) will be strong against him. Ganks I imagine can be pretty strong because he has a "Jarvan Ult" as a basic ability. The slow on his E into the W. I'm mostly comparing it to Zyra when played as support (She also has a pretty high winrate) who provide damage and pressure. Yorick won't have the same level of poke but all in and pressure he should have a ton.
